Alright, so when I found out that Halo: Reach was on the list for Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility, I flipped out. I was really excited. However, when I finished installing Halo Reach, I started the game, started a mission, and the game was slow as hell. I literally was unable to play any of the game due to audio cracks and INSANELY slow FPS. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Will this problem ever be fixed?
Having the same issues
Same here
If you stand still for a while the game starts to run smoothly and every time you play the game runs smoother every time
Yep…
Audio crackling/ popping, input lag, FPS issues, noticeable pop-in where it isn’t on the 360. I’ve just been playing it on my 360.
Yep, the campaign, any mission, is unplayable. It’s bad solo and impossible split screen (the primary mode that’s played in my house)
Split screen multiplayer will freeze on us then kick us out into our own game. It registers as a quit. So I got banned after like 5 times of it happening. In firefight it will freeze for 30 seconds to a minute then play fine.

It’s true that it gets smoother and smother in time, but in never gets to 30 fps.
The game has frozen for me a couple of times already in Multiplayer and then kicks me back out to the main menu… pretty frustrating.
It’s pretty sad. I have a gold account, but my brother doesn’t, so he uses the Home Xbox feature to play Reach. I feel bad because BC is not the true experience. I’m glad I still have my 360.
Microsoft is working on addressing Reach’s backward compatibility frame rate issues :
Mine hasn’t been too bad.

They have fixed most of the issues now.
