Id like to be able to actually back out of a Matchmaking Session when I have to leave the Cave I call home, instead of dashboarding. Extremely annoying.
For context, this is when youre still in the lobby and about to be deployed.

Why not back out before the server & map selection begins when the game locks in the teams? Or just let the game load and then quit if you have to go? Are you honestly getting calls regularly at that specific point during the matchmaking starting?
Since the system only moves on to the next step of setting up the game (server selection, map selection, then deployment) after each previous step is satisfied, if the game supporting backing out of matchmaking during map selection it would have to start the matchmaking all over again, meaning that server space that had been allocated would need to be reset, too. The idea is to not encourage quitting, so that people aren’t quitting based on who they are about to play or on what map.
I think that would absolutely encourage too many people backing out of a game for a wide range of reasons…creating delayed game starts (or other issues) for everyone else.
Have you ever played btb and someone quits creating a 5-10 minute long wait? I just feel like that might be more apparent

I’m not gonna lie, there’s definitely times that the game either doesn’t back out (as in, it just sits there even when you confirm to leave multiple times), or even accidentally selecting the wrong playlist and you literally find a match instantaneously so you can’t back out from that either. Like, give people a few seconds to cancel damn lol.
