Not sure if this has been discussed as I might have missed a thread on it. What do you suppose are the objects in the background of the image used on Waypoint’s homepage? I’m referring to the image which shows the back and right side of Chief’s head.
There’s clearly a Halo way in the back. But, there are platforms floating in the air with laser beams of sorts emitting through and around them. Could those be pieces of a new ring or are they something else?

Played it, beat it, had achievements glitch and not unlock. In short, done it all save for ATN. Not sure what I should be looking for.

Ahh okay, I remember that. So those are pieces of a Halo in the background? That’s what I was not sure about. If so, does that mean the image shown is of Chief on the Ark and not a Halo?

I was just saying that’s what the background could be on a different ring, parts of the ring are ejected off just like what happened in.halo wars 2
Not saying the OP of this thread is one of them but it did just make me think. I wonder what the percentage is of Halo players/fans who have never played Halo Wars? I bet it’s rather high.

As someone who hasn’t been keeping up with the franchise until the PC announcement I learned of this stuff within a matter of days just because I was intrigued to learn more, one Halopedia search was enough.
