Yeah, this is a really cool Idea. I never was too crazy about the recent UIs in the main menu on MCC. The original menu screen for MCC was amazing though, and I don’t really know why they got rid of that because it looked really good. Also, being able to choose music from Previous Halo games for the Title Screen would be really cool too.

agreed but customizable background is enough for me
You can technically already customize your backgrounds by replacing the files on PC, but the problem with that is they get replaced again when the game updates and you have to do change it again
I actually kinda miss the original background of the planet with the various asteroid belts.
This would be great! Like the idea. And it would be great to use on Xbox as well
They should really bring those back in my opinion, or have a place in the settings menus to be able to change them when you want to have a different one.
ok wow looking back at halo reachs ui, its so much better and streamlined than mcc’s. it also has a ton more customization as well as more easier to understand options, it also made the customization SO MUCH BETTER. they decided, and get this, to put all the armors with multiple pieces IN CATEGORIES instead of having them be lined out one by one making it a long -Yoink- list to scroll through, then have the character turn towards what part is being customized as well as the colors being in lines and columns instead of one stupid long column!

seriously also why is every single damn background BLUE, its just all a stale blue!
Edit: gotta point out that everything going simple straight up made the ui terrible, it didnt differentiate anything, doesn’t add a uniqueness to it, tries to copy halo 3’s ui and fails. gotta add the fact that the loading screens are terrible as well having black outlines around the screens with a single loading bar that doesnt do its job, seriously terrible
My Personal Favorites were Halo CE’s Background and Halo 2’s UI. Also, Halo CE’s Loading Sequence was Sweet, and though Halo 2 PC Had the same Music and such, the Background of CE’s Loading sequence was my personal favorite.
Sad that now MCC has kind of a strange UI, especially for loading the campaign. I feel like the original Menus, Loading Sequences, and UIs gave each Halo Game its own atmosphere, while the new UIs, Loading Sequences, and Menus Change it to something nowhere near as good.
I mean, I can Tolerate it, but I think that it would be cool to see Something Old come back to the Ultimate Collection of Classic Halo Games.
They should have an option where you can pick which ones you want to have as a background.
I know pc you technically can by replacing files but it would be nice on xbox if you could change it to any of the menus they used, even if it’s after mcc gets all of the content 343 has planned.
I vote for this option too. Mentioned here and there. In Settings you can turn off the backgrounds and it becomes black, everywhere. So if you can do this and they add this feature my guess it’s not impossible to add a switch which background want you use! Since every Season got a new namation it wil lchange till… I guess once support is end for MCC. At least that level. After that yo uwill stuck the entire life with the lastest background aniamtion? Plus, you will never see again Reach, CE, 2, 3, ODST, 4 menu? Which they maded specificly for the MCC and for the games in 4K!
I asked for this feature back in the day when MCC launched on Xbox. I asked for options to have original backgrounds. For me personally I wish to have the Halo 2 background on MCC (for me was the best background).
If not free choice at least when you go into each Halo it would show the original background for said game
I think they could package the backgrounds as season content, and allow people to unlock the various backgrounds and maybe some new ones as well.
Choosing music would be great too, or maybe the ability to choose backgrounds and music from any of the halo games.
It would be great if the UI was more customizable; I’ve never really liked all the horizontal menus in MCC. Past Halo Games had vertical menus that were much easier to use. It was nice to be able to see all the multiplayer map names at once instead of 4 at a time.
