If the update has made the game genuinely better. I played for like the first month the game launched and dropped it, then came back here months later to see if it was worth picking up again. And was told no
So what about now?
Yup it’s pretty good overall. (Just waiting for KOTH and Argyle to get put back into rotation.)

I have had 5 laggy games the whole week. I’m played about 40-50MM and a about as many customs. Although other people have said that they are still getting lag and cant play customs.
In my experience, the game is about the same. In other words, it’s still working fine, if not better. Have seen people say it has gotten worse after the update, but on net whole it seems to be better.
Game hasn’t changed…. In fact it’s got worse as now there’s less playlists than season 2.
Not really sure why ppl are saying it’s worth it now opposed to last year. Only new stuff is co op and forge. If you didn’t play for a year then you missed custom games, but really, it’s either play PvP or campaign. No firefight, not a big fun list of game types (no grifball, no infection, etc etc), not anything that’s much different or game changing.
If you wanted to grind a ton, there’s a couple battle passes to grind, but it’s the same old feeling as it was in 2021.
I’m playing infinite, but if you think you’re coming back to something completely different… nah, you ain’t.

I decided to Downloaded it on the 8th because of the new “Search Region Local” option. It’s been quite low latency and lag (as low as 30 ms ping time for BTB and 20 ms for QucikPlay 4v4), to the point that I now know what De-Synch looks like 
Prior to the update 80% of my matches were 250+ ms ping times, because they kept putting me on an Eastern European Server when I’m in Alberta Canada. I “think” the Search Region Local which preferentially picks close servers to you has made all the difference.
It still has “warts”, but they are no longer giant gross tumours…
Nothing has changed. There’s 1 more map. (Maybe 3 in your case)
I will, honestly I thought the game originally was okay fun. It suffered more imo, from players being dumb in game, like just ignoring the team play to run into fights 1v4 and just keep…failing. or at least that is what I remember
old habits… but im getting better at not doing that so much anymore
The update is fine but if you weren’t specifically waiting for Forge or Campaign Co-op I doubt it will do much to change your mind.
Plus the new battle pass will still be there when season 3 launches.
