I’m sure this doesn’t really matter to anyone but I think it’s too bad now that we have to press B to crouch for default controls. It’s been a Halo tradition to use the right thumbstick to crouch, and this just brings Halo even closer to COD; its to bad 343 changed this. It doesn’t even make sense gameplay wise, does it? I don’t know how other people play, but I’ve always preferred holding the thumbstick to crouch. Does this mean that pressing B will keep you crouched? I’m just disappointed, and there’s also no control scheme to change this.

But yah, you use crouch more while needing to keep your thumb on the right joystick more often than you need to be able to sprint and aim.
A pointless change in my book, thankfully I switched to bumper jumper back in H3 that is staying true to the left stick crouch
It’s…awkward to be honest. Especially if you don’t toggle crouch. 
All the more reason for me to use Bumper Jumper. Where B is reload, and crouch is on Left Stick.

Default players who don’t use toggle crouch… i’m guessing they care
Just use Recon. It’s not a big deal. There are so many controls to switch from.
Boxer, recon and bumper jumper have the left stick as crouch so your last sentence is stretching the truth.

There is Boxer, Bumper Jumper and Recon that have crouch on LS. I’m thinking of switching to Boxer (normally use Green Thumb)
I don’t get why some layouts are LS to sprint, B to crouch and some are the other way round… Seems pretty random.
i use default on every halo game…itll be fine…people are just scurred lol

Then use recon. Recon is modernized default of 3 which has been implemented in Reach, CEA, and now 4

Well, just don’t use the default controls.

This. I’ll be using Recon.
Use Recon then, it’s pretty much the same as Halo 3’s default controls. Hell there are a couple more that still has crouch on the left stick, use one of them. There is zero reason to yoink over the default for having crouch on B when there are options.

To be honest, they desperately need a classic scheme that puts Crouch on LS, Melee on B, Action/Reload on X, Sprint on LB, and AA on RB.
I use toggle crouch anyway so it wont matter to me as much.
But it can be an issue for those who use the option where you hold crouch.
