Hi everyone,
I haven’t been on the Reach forums for ages now. Actually, the last time I was on a Reach forum, I was on Bungie.net!
Was just wondering if we ever figured out what the whole B.O.B mystery was? That was a huge thing back when I was on Bungie.net
Cheers
Nope, we never did.
I don’t think there was ever anything behind them to begin with.
Anyway, you picked a great time to come back. Halo 4 is eminent!
The thread on Bungie.net died. The hunt, the mystery, it’s dead.
Still though, it can be entertaining to piss them off. For me, they represent CE Zealots.
That’s such a shame. It seems so weird that it lead to nothing. The clues, the references… It all seemed like it meant something.
Obviously just a cruel joke played by Bungie

the whole thing started with a helmet that was shown in defiant ads. it was confirmed that the helmet along with some other concepts were put up to be ADDED to the game. but because of costs and due dates and the way the game was coded it didnt happen. so everyone exploded over nothing.

I have no idea how people managed to link the BOBs to the ‘GRD’ helmet, the ‘GRD’ helmet was something Certain Affinity (who was working with 343i at the time) planned, not Bungie.
B and
O f
B oosters
? I remeber seeing a post like that on Bungie.net. That could be the joke itself, we dislike boosters. Or maybe it is just a fake refernce
either way, it is a cool easter egg.
Seek and Destroy. Born on Board = B.O.BKill the B.O.B.s and earn medals. White B.O.B.s and Gold B.O.B.s are only in Campaign. The Orange ones are the Rangers. The rest is White and are all Elite ranks. They duel wield Plasma Rifles.
How many have you killed? O.O Me: 101 (possibly more 343 here has to put all medals up)
To me B.O.B.s are fun to hunt down and kill in Reach.

honestly i dont know either. my buddy had played on my account for a little bit and got obsessed with killing enough of them and hitting all the buttons and finding “the secret codes” and all that junk.i thought the whole thing was interesting but i just never saw halo being the “dlc skin pack” type of game.
bobs/GRD were nice little hunts that i hope are in halo 4, but we need a payout
