Why does 343 keep waiting to announce the new level system? This is a huge part of many people’s gaming experience but they still refuse to reveal it. I was very patient but now, three weeks before release I think it is just unfair to not talk about it.
Just imagine how pissed off all the forgers would be if 343i would not have shown off the new forge yet…
I really start to doubt that there is going to be any skill based ranking system
I’m pretty sure there isn’t one. They would’ve showed it by now. Oh well.

I believe Frank said that it wasn’t finished and that more clarity will come relatively soon.

Not finished with 23 days until launch? I believe they have it complete but it’s something that would cause the hype to die down and some potential player base to be put off.
It has been confirmed on NeoGAF multiple times now, there is no ranking system in terms of skill-based stuff, you will be matched in normal matchmaking now based off hidden skill algorithms.
There is still hope…

No one that is associated with 343i can lie about the game or any of its features, including whether they are finished or not. Otherwise we could sue them.
Because ranks are all that matters, aren’t they?
Tell you what, if you really want something to show for your ‘hard work’, why don’t you do something other than whine about video games and do something productive.

Well, there is no visible skill rank, I’m talking about stuff like Halo: Reach’s Service Record. They’re still working on that stuff.

No ranking system info because it’s still in development
We may not see it on launch, but they’re just playlists so it’s possible to add them down the road.
Relax. At least there is skill-based matchups throughout all the playlists.

Alright thanks. That was awfully vague, but I interpreted it as that currently there is not one, but they are thinking off how to do one, and will implement it later, which is possible because halo 4 keeps track of very rich skill detail.
