The mode lately on the map Prospect has just been unplayable due to the worst spawn killing I’ve seen in Halo 5 in a while. Literally can’t spawn when attacking lately on that map, I’ve never seen it as bad as it’s been lately and people just keep exploiting the spawns to a point where it’s technicially unplayable in it’s current state.
Temple is much worse for defender spawns, especially defending core.
Unfortunately most of the Assault maps have extremely exploitable spawns. Temple is pretty bad too and Urban is by far the worst. Really frustrating.
How do you find games in assault anyway?
I’m from Germany and even if I play on expanded at American prime time I can’t find a game… Has been this way since about half a year or so, which is a shame as I really liked assault.
It can get like that for any one sided objective game… That is why I have hated any sort of one sided objective game, will never touch warzone assault… One flag, one bomb… All toilet for gameplay

Yes it does seem irritating. I don’t mind assault usually, just lately it just seems straight unplayable, it’s like 343i didn’t even bother do any testing before making the mode public. I think the problem is there’s nothing balanced about the mode since the attack could be stuck with pistols, the defenders could spam banshees, snipers like nothing…to a point where’s no point trying to spawn.
One flag last resort H3 was and is the worst spawn trap in all of halo lol. It was and still is in mcc terrible for the attacking team.
Like someone else said. One flag one bomb and in warzone case, assault. Anytime you have a attacking and a defending team locked in that objective the spawn exploits are unreal.
Urban is the absolute worst map in assault for attacking team spawns. It’s so bad that the game has become a fight over maintaining/pushing a spawn instead of attacking the garage as the primary objective
Best way to fix this issue is for 343 to make a surrender button on the pause screen where if half of your team hit that button it doesn’t let you spawn in the game. This should stop all the spawn trappers / farmers and should eventually make them core your team.

This is a fundamental flaw of WZA in general. The idea of a defender team in a base plus a snowball effect made spawnkilling but an inevitability.
It’s mostly just bad map design, if you are on defense just get to the high ground and spawn kill. That’s what everyone does. The attacking team needs to have a “safe” zone to spawn into, an invisible barrier that gives the defender a couple seconds to turn back or be killed. One of the (or maybe all) the battlefield games had areas you could not go depending on what team you were on, different areas would open up through out the game. It helped with spawn killing issues.

Not sure if that would work, that would come off as being afk oddly. The only solution seems to be mess with the REQ system till it forces us to spawn, get instant killed or quit.
I think an alternate might be let the players spawn in different areas outside the defence area so the player can choose to spawn in an area where it might seem safe.

Well most people just end up quitting because it’s not fun getting spawn killed. The people that continue to play even though they are in a spawn trap are likely playing because they want to get the XP and RP that comes with finishing a game.

That’s true, only reason I tolerated those situations is for exp since 152 grind is a pain.
