Awesome Things that are NECESSARy for Halo 4

Not really necessary, but they’d keep me and many others hooked for years.

For Forge:
-Time of Day Editor
-Weather Editor
-Terrain Editor
-Working Elevators(use nodes to determine how high/low they go)
-Working Doors
-Energy Bridge
-Effects(blood paint, fires, bodies, ect)
-AI Bots(Flood, Covenant, Humans)
-Pelican, Phantom, Spirit, Scarab, Sabre(PLEASE, we need a jet), Saraph
-Civilian Vehicles(Forklift, Pickup Truck(with working back door?), Civilian Hog, Sports Car(PLZ!))
-Transport Vehicles(Troop Hog, Transport Falcon, ect)

For Armor:
-Green Visor
-Red Visor(actual red, not the copper color like Jorge)
-Purple Visor
-All of HR’s Visors
-Ability to color individual armor parts(separate colors for head, shoulders, even that black part underneath all your armor)
-More AEs
-343s Ability to add to the armory via game updated

For Weapons:
-Katana(in Custom Games, like the Golf Club)
-Gauss Rife(We have a turret that shoots bullets, we have a rifle that shoots bullets. We have a turret that shoots rockets, we have a weapon that shoots rockets. We have a turret that shoots plasma, we have a rifle that shoots plasma. I think it’s time for the Gauss turret to return the favor[and I want an actual med-long rnge rifle, not a sniper/rocket replacement])
-Equipment(+ the sticky Trip Mine from the H3 beta!)
-EMP Grenade
-Stun Grenade(stuns you like when you get hijacked)
-Heavy Weaponry(Missle Launcher, Flamethrower, ect)

For Gameplay:
-Rag Doll Effect in Customs, or maybe as a Campaign skull(ex: when you Rocket somebody in the face, they go flying 50 feet)
-HUD Customization
-Hand-Hand Combat System
-Katana(in Custom Games, like the Golf Club)
-Flag, Bomb, and Skull available in CG and Forge as regular weapons
-Dynamic Custom Games Options(ex: set Armor Effects/Armor Pieces for specific players, every option in every GameType; like in H2 where you could make an Assault gametype, but the only way to win was to actually kill targets, rather than planting the bomb)
-V.I.P

Great ideas, but there are a few I don’t agree with.

Gauss Rifle - There’s no need, we already have the sniper and rockets, we really don’t need a hybrid.
Equipment - Just a personal preference, I’d prefer that we didn’t add anything like equipment/AAs and just go back to the Halo CE/2 formula. Just guns, melee, and grenades.
EMP Grenade - Only if they remove the grenade launcher, we don’t need a weapon and a grenade that have the same functions.
Stun Grenade - Hampering the opposing teams movement should only be done through map control/weapon control.
Hand-Hand Combat System - We already have melees, anything more than that would make it feel like a first person fighting game instead of a shooting game. I would welcome the halo 2 melee system back though (more damage if you’re running/falling and you can dodge them).

Everything else is great though, I especially like the rag doll idea, but only if you can still walk/drive through dead bodies like the previous games (or be able to push them effortlessly without impeding your own movement).

I couldn’t care less if there are “working doors”.

The one thing that this game needs without a doubt are fully mappable controls. The old style FPS controls are outdated. We need to be able to make them how we want. I guarantee it will bring in more gamers and keep more gamers.

This should be mandatory on every single game on Xbox.

A gauss rifle would be overpowered as hell, and it would basically be a faster shooting spartan laser which doesn’t need to be charged that does less damage to vehicles, but that wouldn’t matter since 2 shots is all you need to destroy lighter vehicles and heavier vehicles would be sitting ducks to such a weapon.

Only if it does less damage [2 shots to kill a spartan], is harder to aim and is treated as a heavy weapon (make the player slower in turn speed and normal speed)

One thing that would be amazing for forge; editing textures of objects. Textures could include snow (like Avalanche from H3), desert (Sandbox from H3), forest (Guardian from H3), concrete, forerunner, covenant, usmc/industrial (Foundry from H3). These textures should be available for every single block in forge, and you can edit it just like you edit team color

Another thing that would be amazing is having every object that exists in halo 4 being translated into forge. Why can’t we have forklifts in Reach forge? How about civilian vehicles? Cranes? These would all be well appreciated. I’m an avid forger and I hate how all your forge creations are on the same old forge world map, with the same old texture, and the same old blocks. Spice up forge! Forge is a part of Halo that we should be proud of. It’s unique and it’s what sets it apart from other games.

Now, once forge is perfected, I think we would all love to see some more of those creations in matchmaking! Matchmaking in Halo 3 was great because there was plenty of community maps. That’s partially the reason nobody likes Reach infection. You can’t play infection on a default slayer map! You have to have a map designed for infection for it to be fun to play on, otherwise it’s just getting headshotted by people camping with pistols, rage quitting, and getting banned from matchmaking for a few hours. Everybody LOVED Halo 3, most were disappointed with Reach. 343, please don’t follow Bungie’s footsteps and make another Halo Reach.

EDIT: Don’t get me wrong, I DO want it to be improved, I’m not just being a Halo 3 fanboy. It’s just that Reach wasn’t an improvement, it was a complete change.

EDIT EDIT: Also, something else: a better ranking system. We need a ranking system that encourages people to forge and play custom games! That’s why people play Halo!

All I need is halo 2 ranking system, mix between reach mp and halo 3 and a good campaign.

Yes everything is a good idea. it will be also good if you can have a forge were you can forge the landscape

I like that you mentioned setting players’ equipment pieces, I think that it would be interesting to play Infection matches in which zombies were forced into the Haunted helmet.

If I could bring anything forward it would be these:

  • H3 tight situation resolution - in Infection, you’d either pick up a Bulltrue and live or the zombie would kill you and walk away… NEVER this business where you blast a zombie and its lifeless body drifts into you and kills you, nor a zombie swinging from 8 feet away and picking up a sympathy kill on a far-too-distant human… PLEASE FIX.

  • H3 vehicle damage system - it would be great if Warthogs became useful again by minimizing the damage that standard weapon fire does to the body of the vehicle, which could be balanced by a return of the faster 5 shot laser

  • H3 Human Turret performance - it was one of my favorite weapons to use but in Reach it is largely useless due to the colossal spread

  • Flamethrower/Incendiary Grenades - my personal favorite aspect of H3 multiplayer, these weapons were great fun, satisfying to kill with and nigh impossible to find… I hope they can be included up to standards of both balance and performance

  • Rat’s Nest successor

  • Avalanche successor

  • Narrows successor

  • Save One Bullet, Creeping Death/Rockets, Speed Demons in which zombies receive poor camo (can creep to limit visibility), other Infection modes NOT in the vein of Duck Hunt, Racing, Fat Kid

Funny that you said this because in Crysis 2 there is a weapon called the Gauss Rifle and it acts just like what a Gauss rifle would act if it were in Halo

I will explain for him…

The majority if not all of these ideas are major jumps from the current level of “Halo” technology, by that I mean, if even half of these ideas were implemented, the game would have unbearable lag, crash constantly, and possibly have other problems. The current 360 is not designed to handle that kind of stuff, hell, I don’t know anyone with a computer that could run a game like that.

Bottom line, offer ideas that could fit in a realistic frame of time. like for example, different skins for forge pieces, that seems reasonable to me. Not a game were you fight like Sub-Zero then hop into a fighter jet while simultaneously creating entire skyscrapers.

So i came up with some ideas for armour abilitys that would stop noobs from fleeing and would all have weaknesses. This is my first ever post and i want you to edit and tweak the ideas so they are almost perfectly balanced thx .

Sprint
Same as normal but your shield would deplete while running or being shot would stop you from sprinting

Spawnshield(i know needs less cheesy name you could choose!)
A shield that could be thrown and would act like a buddy in invasion meaning you could spawn next to it,would allow you to spawn closer to the action than regular spawning .the shield would keep you safe till you left it . the spawnshield could be thrown behind enemy lines aslong as they dont enter it and destroy the center machine

Glide
Small wings would be on your armpits and thighs allowing you to reenact a flying squirrel and allowing you to glide safely to lower points similer to batman in arkham city.but your shields would dissapear leaving you very vunrable (sorry for spelling) to a headshot.rocket launchers would also be able to lock onto you making you a easy kill.

BTW you could be headshotted while glide because your shields would be removed and it would glide similar to arkam citys batman

Anyway, most of this stuff seems great to use but I’m just afraid of the lag it could cause. Only the PC would be able to handle all of that stuff. Who knows. Maybe they will come out with a new top-notch system or 343 will just clutch it.
