I like the coatings in the game so far. I don’t wear them because I have watchdog but I like the variety.
Mark V(B) Needs more IMO. If cross-coatings was a thing i could put my Blood Shadow coating on it and use another coating for my Mark VII. But yk
I think killing Cortana off to please the Halo 5 haters is a terrible decision being done for the worst reasons. Especially because 343 clearly don’t want to move away from the Chief Cortana love story and are trying to have it both ways.
The Weapon does not have her own character and it’s ridiculous to have her be guilty or ask forgiveness for things another character did. A proxy redemption arc where she never did anything wrong and we can’t seriously question Chief for standing by her. That is probably going to be a recurring conflict and will get very false. Nobody buys that she might turn bad and we know Cortana went bad because of rampancy. The Weapon has 6.5 years before she gets deleted. She and the Chief should know this.
343 had 2 options. Have Chief fight for Cortana and save her or have him come to terms with that loss. Instead we get Chief stuck in Westview living with a crazy AI who wants to be his dead wife. Including taking her name, imitating her appearance and wanting to assume Cortanas place.
This is not moving on.
To which he’s going to be okay with that and instantly bond with her because she reminds him of the woman he lost? You don’t think that’s wrong or a little messed up? Chief should not care about a random AI he just met and knows nothing about. Who has not done anything to warrant any attachment. Why would a constant reminder of what he lost be anything other than a painful burden?

I think the weapon sound design in the game is amazing. H5 had some really good weapon sounds, and I’m super happy that Infinite improves almost everything.
There’s such beef behind most of the weapon sounds! Imo we have the best sounding BR in the franchise
