yea the thing that I was disappointed with was the fact that we never got mp space battles. Plus the huge persistent world would have been awesome, halo style battles on a MMO/BF3 scale

Halo Reach runs on a heavily modified Halo 3 engine. This is indeed a Reach prototype because the BR in that video is single shot, the giant Brutes obviously become Gueta. The Elites are enemy’s etc.
This is basically the gameplay mechanics prototype of Reach before they add on the super -Yoink!- graphics layer.

In some aspects, it went better I’d say. Hitscan, better loading times, improved frame rate… Most of the actual issues were gone. The gameplay itself just wasn’t as good. One step forward two steps back, all that.
