Nope, this challenge has been there before, with the exact same requirement and payout.
Agrreed 100% these are the type of challenges we want. Good job 343i now a Jackpot weekend and a weekend palylist like Fiesta or V.I.P would be awsome too.
The challenges are generated randomly using a computer. It draws from a selection of about two hundred fifty challenges, with certain restrictions. For example, the first challenge must be Firefight, Multiplayer, or anything kills. Then there’s usually a campaign challenge. I really hope that they [343] are able to post someone to do the daily challenges each day. Of course, this post would also be able to create new, more exciting daily challenges. I want to see something along the lines of “Get a 1500 rating or higher in an Arena game today” or maybe “Get a double kill with the Energy Sword”. Actual Challenges, not just mindless grind-a-thons.

heh, Fire Fight Friday sounds good, and I wouldn’t have a problem with that… but could you imagine the uproar from these kids when they only get fire fight challenges on a non-school-night?

Why would it matter? There’s still a weekend full of cool, mixed challenges. I wouldn’t mind Fire Fight Friday coming back from school, in fact I think it’d be quite funny.

I don’t think that the challenges are bad or boring per se, but they really are getting boring after almost a year.

Yeah they’re the same challenges as always but now there worth doing since its 1500-3000cr rather than 1000 -1500cr for dailys
