Funny thing is, I’m under the impression that Halo Wars 2’s entire story, Campaign DLC expansions and all, is gonna act as our teaser for Halo 6. By the time the final campaign expansion is released, I think that we’re gonna be left on the doorstep of Halo 6.

I am definitely hyped to see the Flood again! Hopefully they have a part in Halo 6, too.

I’m personally excited.

As far as we know, this campaign will focus on the banished, which is great in my opinion. One of my qualms with the original campaign is that we didn’t see a lot of banished. It was surprisingly dry of these characters. We only saw atriox 3 times. This will allow us to actually go into the character of the banished leaders.

One thing they could focus on in the campaign is the relationship between atriox and the Shipmaster Let 'Volir. As far as we know, 'Volir is only really hanging around because the safety of his crew is his top priority. Atriox was able to give him supplies and fuel for the Enduring Conviction he needed, but 'Volir had to pledge service to him. Also, the reason why he got into such a mess was because he refuses to be a covenant loyalist, but also can’t bring himself to side with the swords of sanghelios, and the banished was his only option. I doubt they will kill off Atriox or 'Volir, because imo they both have potential to be good characters.

Oh, and of course the flood.

From a gameplay perspective, Terminus firefight looks pretty fun. I’ve been waiting a while for a survival mode in Halo Wars 2.

No, I am not getting “hyped”. I don’t want to start the expansion thinking it’s going to be incredible only to be disappointed. Based on HW2 launch campaign, I am not expecting much at all. Keep expectations realistic.

Launch campaign? Dude those vidocs were amazing, and the campaign was everything I wanted! Simple, passionate story, amazing f writing, and expanding the universe even further. You know we wouldn’t have the beautiful Banished without this game and campaign eh?

No. The launch campaign hardly fleshed out the villains. It had very few cutscenes. The stroytelling relied on cheesy in-game/loading screen dialogue. It was all flash with little substance.

Signed I’m hyped for it but not hyped about coughing up $20 lol

Ok? Minusing all of the fantastic writing and amazing design for the cutscenes they had, plus the exhilarating final 3 missions?
You are so right that they didn’t do anything with Atriox and I’m very sad about that, but that hasn’t stopped me hoping, and the countless mornings spent watching that Banished flashback cutscenes, followed by Cutter’s flawless speech and than being so enveloped that I watch the entire 27 minutes over again. You can’t deny those cutscenes were amazing! Sometimes the Cutscenes make are the best part man, think about that.
Also Launch campaign? Do you mean the actually in game campaign or what they used to advertise the game, cause those Vidocs were still amazing! If you meant the campaign at launch, I’m sorry, I just didn’t know if there was anything they changed to date to call it ‘launch’.

All your positives come from cutscenes -which can be watched on youtube. I say “launch” campaign to differentiate it between the campaign DLC and Expansion coming soon. If cutscenes are going to be the best aspect of ATN, why bother buying it when I can watch on youtube. The writing you think is great, I don’t. Yeh, it was impactful in terms of cutter, but in terms of storytelling it left a lot to be desired, hence why in game dialog was relied upon to actual tell you what you were doing.

Oi ok, I see your point, I can’t really differ the two since I try to stay away from the actual in game cutscenes which can also be watched on YouTube, anything can be watched on YouTube including the game itself!
Just letting you know, before I admit the fact that maybe I didn’t enjoy the in game dialogue as much as I did the cutscenes dialogue, but still, it’s part of the game, it’s not like Blur did anything but copy exactly what 343 told them to do and make it look realistic. Overall I understand your argument, and even though saying that liking the cutscenes for a game is bad, but man, they are a bigger part! You gotta admit that it was always the biggest pleasure to watch the cutscenes with most missions being filler. The only thing I remember from Halo 3 was the warthog run! And you can only do something like that once.
anyway, nice touch on the opinions, I may like it, you may not, and I respect that!
GG!

343 execs are hyped. They all used season pass money to make a down payment on a car. Gonna pay that sucker off with ATN money lol.

Since Im not going to get the expansion.I’m hyped for the cutscnes which I know will be good because blur is the best

I’m hyped about seeing where the story goes, but this is probably my last stop for Halo DLC.

I honestly can’t justify spending money on anything but the base game for most franchises anymore, which sadly includes Halo now. 7-8 years ago, I probably would’ve drop kicked myself for even thinking about thinking that.

If I get this, and I probably will because Flood, then it will likely be contained to the campaign.

“Blur is the best”

I can’t argue that. At all. Not even in the slightest. Blur is like Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Batman, The Incredible Hulk, Superman, every single power ranger, Hulk Hogan, Thor and Spartan 117 combined for what they do.
