I think the only way to stop joining games; is when you can see that you are about to join one.
Press start and go to system settings.
Click on MY XBOX 360, it will take you back to a lobby.
Go back to system settings and go back to xbox live.
It’s like you were never gone.
Anyone else have any other ideas? When you vote, sometimes it does not let you.
I’ve used this a lot in many dominion games. Where that sneaky join game thing tried to make me join 5 games in a row, which probably were on the losing side.

yea some huge halo guy posted a vid about this option as well. I usually welcome JIP i see it actully working a lot but when it does screw up i kind of get pissed especailly if i end up bringing the team to near victory by a point away from a almost definate losing game. Its there for a reason and it needs to be fixed instead of taken out. If loads of people werent quitting all the time in previous Halo’s we probably wouldnt of had it.
Yes there is a work around for JiP and as far as I know the one you mentioned is the only way to do it.
I don’t mind JiP. If it didn’t join you to a game that was over half over that would be great.
However let me ask you this question. Why was JiP put in at all? The answer is because people quit games anytime they feel they are losing, or the map of their choice doesn’t come up. This is the real problem not JiP. If 343 implemented a real penalty system for people that quit on a regular basis it would help a lot to avoid joining a game when there is no chance of winning.
My future hope is that your CSR (when launched) will take a big hit for quitting matches. At least that will be some kind of a deterrent to people who quit on a regular basis.
