Anyone else think the autosentry can use a slight buff. I think the fire rate, damage, or duration could be changed to make it a harder foe. I have used it many times and I still od but I was hoping for it to get to get at least one kill and it never does. If anything I want the fire rate to get a slight increase.

In regular games I’ve hardly ever used it since, like you, it never seemed to get me a kill. Then again, perhaps it’s not meant to get a kill, just provide a distraction…
Even if it’s a distraction just one kill would be nice.
I’ve scored several kills with it! Just use me stormy rifle and let it score the kill shot. It’s duration WHILE FIRING needs a buff though. It can only handle about 6 shots.
I use the autosentry as either a distraction or as a way of determining the position of the opposing team. I think it does well enough for what I use it for.
I want to think of my turret as another soldjier on the field not a janitor that finishing the enemy you were already killing.

You’re asking for quite a lot from an armour ability. At the same time, you had might as well give the hologram an AI.
its a Sentry not a killer.

Everybody says it’s a crappy and worthless AA, but for some reason I find most success with it.
My lovely Autosentry has killed entire Ghosts, Mantises, and other enemies by getting the last shot.
I use it for;
- Providing distractions
- An “alarm” to tell me where enemies are coming from
- Assist me in taking down enemies
- Enemies will be forced to destroy my Autosentry first before shooting me, or else they will be at a big disadvantage.
- Defending chokepoints
- Helping me escape losing, or difficult situations
No, making it powerful enough to kill players would be very problematic. Even a slight buff would render it overpowered, it is right as it is. It already apprehends a clear advantage in fights. The only reason most players aren’t finding success with it is because of the way they are using it. Much like the Thruster-Pack which was rendered “useless” by other players and I like many others have managed to stupefy those who opposed it by unlocking its full potential.

Certainly, although not limited to just competitive gametypes (there probably won’t be an MLG playlist though, Throwdown is currently the closest to it as we can get).
Autosentry is not worthless, people just don’t know how to use it right.
Ive never been killed by it i think. The people i went up against who used it werent that good to be frank. I might try to use it though, seems interesting.
Its not a viable AA at all. If it were, it would become an extreme annoyance.
I think it would be fine if it could take more damage.

This pretty much covers it all. Im surprised people dont complain about it more, as it is the only AA that actually kills.
If it did get a buff, enough to kill a player, what if an entire team used the Autosentry?

Thanks! I guess it’s just because not a lot of people use it, and many of the people who do don’t really know how to use it.
I forgot a few things on my list. One of them being that you can deploy it and then go halfway across the map. That autosentry will still be there, and can easily pick up assists (and even kills!) for you.
When playing FFA or with bad teammates, this AA is a very helpful little friend 
I like to roleplay in Halo, so I think of my Autosentry as an AI to my Spartan as Cortana is to Master Chief.
Best AA in campaign (especially for Legendary) worst in MM.
