Autorun?

So sometimes when I need to go to the toilet or checking a notification and it’s a map were running straight forward is a good option and I’m thinking “hey wouldn’t autorun be cool right now?” And yeah that leads us here…

or it’s just the Fortnite talking, probably is…

So you’re basically asking for mechanic that will allow you to idle with no consequence?

If thats what hes asking for, HELL NAW. I hate being destroyed on slayer only to find out that its because we have guys on the team that are just sitting there afk getting killed like 5 or 6 times.

There’s no way that indefinite idling would sit well with players. That’ll do more damage than good.

Outside of Warzone or BTB, an autorun feature wouldn’t really be worth having since the maps are small. Also the whole bypassing the idle boot thing.

Perhaps go to the toilet between games, just an idea

That’s why I get or do what I need before I start searching for a match lol. Not gonna purposefully hinder my teammates. Wouldn’t matter if you didn’t get penalized for quitting a match (even a social one, where people can join mid-game) as you could just leave and take the loss, but that’s just me.

No thanks lol

Don’t see this ever happening.

God no!

Guys I think your taking me a little too seriously, What I meant by “or it’s just the Fortnite talking” was iv been playing a lot of Fortnite and iv gotten used to autorun in it and I wasn’t thinking much about this post so I didn’t think of the downsides. (Plus, I only really play custom games and even then I mostly play warzone firefight to level up, iv been wanting to get to level 42 for a while)

Do you mean automatically sprinting whenever you move forward?

If so, I don’t think that would work in Halo. In shooters that have the option to ‘auto-run’, they usually have aiming down the sights be a requirement for hitting targets at all, so they expect you to hold down the aim trigger to stop sprinting. However, the way Halo works has it so you don’t have to aim down sights to hit things, hip-firing is perfectly viable, so if people want to stop sprinting to hip-fire, they’ll have a lot more trouble stopping. Plus, if you want to approach with your gun at the ready, you can’t really do that if you’re constantly beginning to sprint. Halo just isn’t that fast-paced to have ‘auto-run.’
