Autonomous Loadouts?

I’m not much of a forum person but I had an idea and wanted to see what people might think of it, should this idea not have already been considered for Halo 5.
A simple question. What purpose does having so many Loadout Weapon Cards serve, could loadout weapon selection not be simpler?

For a while now I have noticed a significant number of people stating their case as for why “Loadouts” should be re-introduced into Halo 5 for Warzone multiplayer matches, with the basis for such discussion predominantly coming from the fact that people (of whom have unlocked a greater number of loadout weapons) are required to traverse a multitude of menu screens when seeking their weapon of choice throughout the duration of a multiplayer match, as every player is obligated to navigate through a possible total number of 21 individual weapon cards for each loadout weapon during each and every round of play.

For those, like myself, who have in fact unlocked a significant number of loadout weapon variations and at the same time are players who prefer to stick to using more or less the same loadout for each of their Warzone matches, the process of having to repeatedly adjust their loadout (manually) throughout the entire duration of the match is often experienced as detrimental in regards to both enjoyment and time efficiency.

Do bare in mind however that I am not suggesting players should be allowed to select more powerful/ higher REQ Level weapons at the beginning of matches for the purpose of providing unfair advantages in any way, but rather simply allowing each player to make the most of their time spent in-game.

In regards to this I would propose to 343 Industries that the system of using loadouts should be re-introduced to Halo 5, however they should still operate in accordance to the established REQ System and would simply serve as a means to increase the efficiency of navigating the in-game REQ Menu whilst also proving more beneficial to all players in regards to their mood and how they make use of their time during play. By this I mean that the player is provided with the ability to designate their preferred weapons, weapon improvements, grenades/ abilities and so on (should the player have unlocked them) whilst in the customisation menus, as is commonplace for loadouts in games of similar type.

For the purpose of an example, imagine a loadout consisting of a REQ Level 4 SMG, Level 6 DMR and Level 5 Armour Mod has been preset before entering a Warzone match.

During said match the player would then begin with the standard Assault Rifle and Pistol combination and would also still adhere to the established REQ System, therefore only be able to utilise such “preset” weapons when the appropriate number of points have been earned, however upon meeting those point requirements the loadout would then automatically be updated to provide the player with the desired weapon upon respawning.

So during play, if a player has set such a loadout beforehand and is using a Battle Rifle and Assault Rifle at Level 3 REQ Points and their team then earns another point and that player then dies, the player’s loadout upon respawning would then hold the Level 4 REQ weapon instantaneously, (further repeated with each earned req point) thereby reducing or even eliminating entirely the necessity to manually adjust your base loadout throughout the duration of the match.

Simply put, loadouts would become a method in which a player can preset their favoured loadout weapons and abilities before beginning a match in order to streamline their experience in-game.

Does anybody else feel this could be a suitable solution to the monotonous process of loadout weapon selection and should seriously be considered for application to Warzone matches?

P.s. Apologies for such a lengthy post.

I like the idea

It’s a great idea it will also reduce some of the req lag

This idea has been tossed around a lot, hopefully 343 has seen it and they’re working on adding it to the game.

Seems like a good idea, hopefully it’ll be added

We need loadouts.

I was just thinking about this as well. My idea was actually to give each player 18 markers they can set while browsing their collection of load out weapons only. For example, 1A, 1B through 9A, 9B (I know there are not any level 9 reqs yet). As you are looking at weapons you can preset all the load out weapons you use in game for each req level. So 1A would be the level 1 primary req you use and 1B would be your level 1 secondary load out weapon you use. When you die, it would evaluate your req level and assign you the weapons you preset. If you want to change, just go to a req station or change it between deaths. If you are like me and use the same weapons all the time and always forget to change your weapons when your req level increases, this would be nice.

Seems like a good idea until people start realizing it’s somewhat similar to loadouts from CoD; a definite Halo faux pas.

I like the idea, but I was thinking that they could allow us to favorite loadout weapons and armor mods and tie them to the d pad in the req menu. For example: Left on d pad would take you to weapons you’ve favorited as a primary weapon, up for armor mods, and right for secondary weapons. It would also list your favorites starting with the highest req available at the moment descending to the lowest.

All I know is that we need the req system streamlined somehow. It’s super laggy and usually not worth switching loadout weapons until respawn.

343 has had a lot of discussion about items and things like this. They might even be working on something like this now.

ohhhh what I would give to have such thing… the DSL lag whenever I try to get new standard issue weapons is insane.
