Automatic weapons recoil bug?

Take the assault rifle for example.

I was under the impression when you tap the trigger you have greater recoil control?

I’ve noticed recoil is more controlled when holding the trigger, and is worse when I tap the the trigger. The reticle moves wildly when tapping the trigger.

Is it supposed to be like this? It doesn’t feel right.

I think the AR’s first shot multiplier for its upwards recoil is pretty high. The idea is that, initially, the recoils kicks upwards by quite a lot upon the first shot and then drastically slows itself down afterwards to the point where it is just so easy to mitigate. I find that this considerably reduces the value or necessity to having to tap-firing the weapon in the way you described, so you want to fire in more prolonged bursts instead.

Yeah, It just seemed the 2nd tap recoil was worse than the first.

Although what you described seems to make sense. I think you may be correct.

I’ll check it out next time I’m on.
