After watching this video. You will notice a player throwing a ball at his enemy as they round the corner, making the player auto-pick up the ball and pretty much insta-death.
The player that was forced to pick up the ball was completely helpless and it doesn’t seem that hard of a tactic… This may be very annoying,
And the video is freaking amazing!
sound tactic and is just another factor people will have to consider when attacking a bomb carrier
I’m not denying it’s a ‘sound tactic’, I believe a player should do whatever is available to win in game, and if you can huck a ball at them and mess them up, yay, but I can see it being veeeeeeeeeery annoying possibly, highly possibly.
There is probably no fix to it either, because with the ability to throw the ball to teamates, 343i probably intended the opposing team to be able to intercept a toss.

That’s just another gameplay mechanic you have to be aware of. Being knowledgeable that they can throw the ball at you to interrupt your attacks, you will counter them appropriately. Any decent player will learn, so i don’t see the problem with this.
If you die in Halo, chances are you did something to deserve it. If i get killed in this way, it’s my fault. It’s rather creative IMO, you can do some clutch plays by turning it around. It’s like T bag worthy clutch.
You also failed to consider that the players will not always throw the ball and nail you will it. They can and will miss, which you should take the opportunity to kill the target. No excuses.
It’ll be more annoying in CTF

hhhmmm… I guess the only counter measure then is start thinking back to the days when you’d play dodge ball but every one elso was on the other team violently attacking you with dodge balls. I knew those painfull years would come in handy one day.

well. i think its a good tactic. but as an example i feel as soon as he rounded the corner that promethian gun destroyed him, he didnt have a chance anyway. the ball just added to the look of it.
Personally, I would like to see an option for auto pick up, but it’s not really a make or break factor for me, I can adapt.
Great gameplay though… DMR looks deadly.
