I was just banned for using the word ‘gay’ [even though it didn’t send and I didn’t try to do it again] and it wasn’t directed at anyone in particular. As a ‘gay,’ I want to know if I can get unbanned or is saying gay as a gay person really a permaban-able offense.
BTW This is on the official Halo Discord and not r/Halo.

The context of me saying gay was something along the lines of “That’s gay, whats the point of playing firefight then if you can play grifball for 10 mins and still get 8k xp” which obviously didn’t post, so I changed ‘gay’ to stupid. I got a warning for it which is fine, but then I got banned 10 minutes later for no reason.

You posted discriminatory comments. Whether they were caught by the bot is irrelevant as you still posted them, because of that the ban was placed.
