Hey, was the auto aim always so strong in Reach/Halo 3, like it is in Halo 4?
No it wasn’t, Reach had more than 3 but not as high as this. I really dislike the BR because it has way too much auto aim. I like being able to control by weapon effectively. It also makes the game too easy in my eyes which is why I consider the BR the noobs choice of weapon at the moment. All I’ve been playing is Slayer Pro the majority of players are using the BR.
I think you mean the aim assist (I used to call it auto-aim too :D) and no it wasn’t. The BR and DMR aim assist in particular has really been jacked up, the other weapons not so much. It’s worth noting the BR reticule size is the same as Halo 3’s, so it’s not that making the BR an easier weapon, it’s the overgenerous aim assists.
Hopefully 343i patch it if they can, possibly make BR a 4SK to compensate.

i doubt they will make BR 4SK…if anything DMR needs a slower kill time.I also think the aim assist or would like the aim assist to be decrease some.
Is auto aim the stupid option for auto centering or whatever it is called in the options screen? I tried the auto centering thing and thought it was trash and turned it off.

I just meant make the BR a 4sk due to the big loss of bullet magnetism, even though I don’t want bullet magnetism the BR needs to be effective. The reason it’s currently a 5sk is because it has the most bullet magnetism and is hard to miss with, that will hopefully change. I prefer a skillful weapon that has the potential to kill fast, rather than an unskillful one getting an average killtime (this applies to utility weapons). Right now the BR is the unskillful scenario, I want the first.
Also agreed, DMR needs either recoil, bloom, slower ROF or to be made a 6sk, it’s a tad OP.
Also, the BR shoots in burst of 3, a 4sk would mean it would take 12 shots (4x3). The current killtime is 13 bullets, 4 full bursts and only 1 out of 3 bullets from the 5th, so the difference isn’t as monumental, especially if the BR loses bullet magnetism and feels like older Halos, then people won’t get the optimal 4sk kill time as often.
I agree. I’m kind of dissapointed in the BR and DMR. I feel the br is way underpowered compared to the DMR. it has little to no range and its aim assist is way to strong. Being the long time player of halo 3 i miss have my BR, its the weapon we are all comfortable with yet 343 just made it trash. it no longer takes any skill to get a kill, the aim assist is so strong that mid range straifing doesnt even make a difference. hopefully they patch the BR, give it some range and make a 4 shot, and lessen the aim assist on the BR and DMR. Other than the aim assist i dont think anything else should be done to the DMR, I think the DMR is a little to powerful, but if we were to get a 4s br back with less aim assist it would even the game out, and please some of the longer playing halo gamers.
