Auto aim

I notice it the most when sniping. I’ll be about to headshot a guy when his teammate runs by him. The auto aim picks up the running guy and drags the reticle off the guy I was aiming at. The bullet ends up somewhere between them.

I can’t remember this happening on other games but I could be wrong. Can anyone relate? Can it be turned off? Is it one of those things that I would miss if it were removed?

it happens to me all the time…nothing you can really do about it…it helps more than it hurts, I think you can turn it off but you’d regret it.

Yeah without aim assist there’s a pretty good chance you’d barely be able to hit the enemy. Such is the bane of using controllers.

It was in every Halo.
(Except for sniper no-scopes in some of them, I forget which ones. I THINK some titles didn’t have aim assist for sniper no scopes only.)

You probably just got better since then and didn’t notice back then because you weren’t as into the details.

Haha we’ll go with that.

That’s called friction and it’s an aim assist that exists in literary EVERY CONSOLE FPS game.
