It’s randomly shutting off and on within a match. I’ve played a lot of this game, and I can tell when it happens. Sometimes it randomly just shuts off and it’s jarring as hell when it happens.
Pretty sure this is part of desync
Probably. But it’s def happening where it just goes off, then pulls back into the enemy, then shuts off completely again, and aim goes everywhere as a result of trying to compensate.
It’s complete garbage.
Yes. I’ve had the same experience. And it comes and goes in the same game.
Use an input that doesn’t require legal aimbot.
Aim assist is disabled when jumping and sprinting. Some weapons like the sniper don’t have aim assist at all.
This right here is what is called balance, aim assist that is not 100% active since the beginning of the game, it’s only active when the reticle is red(only turns red within 10m), it’s not active when jumping, sprinting, or melee, and to put the cherry on top it is not active with power weapons……
Im so over the controller vs KBM debate……KBM out classes controller in most every aspect, without aim assist KBM would dominate (which it still does)
Crybaby KBM players just cry aim assist when they aren’t able to dominate every match.
You cannot convince me otherwise don’t bother trying I won’t respond, this debate needs to die……tough crap if you got outplayed by a veteran halo player who’s been playing halo on controller since before some of these crybabies were conceived
Im aware of these situations. I’m talking about the circumstances where it should be working correctly and it doesn’t.
Maybe they secretly add some RNG/nerfed it sing the only people crying about aim are KBM players complaining about aimassist in a console dominated franchise.
But in all reality the acceleration curves have always been all sorts of dorked up to the point that aiming in general for both inputs (yes I play both) is so irregular and indiscriminate
What is aim assist?? Is it something I turn on or is it automatic?
It’s on automatically, but you can turn it off in the settings. Basically the game helps you aim a little. It can come in many forms. Some games if you miss a bullet it will still hit provided it’s within a certain range, others your reticule slows down as you get closer to target and in some your gun snaps onto a target without you even needing to aim properly, like call of duty does this quite aggressively.
Without it it’s very hard to aim with a controller. The sticks are just not as precise and consistent for a smooth experience. It’s pretty jarring. I had a ranked game earlier where my aim assist was off for the whole game. I was getting shredded and the team were trash talking me. Sorry guys! I couldn’t hit anything!
Can you stop? Please? Just enough of the kbm and controller wars. We have like 15 open threads about aim assist.
That’s what I’m saying, I’ve just started reporting the KBM vs Controller threads……it’s getting old and it’s always KBM players crying and then just divulge into name calling and insults when you put holes in their argument.
It’s not constructive and it’s to the point that it’s creating a toxic environment on the forums.
I’m real tired of it
I can agree with you on that.
yeah i dont know why but aim assist like many things in this game is incosistent
Oh really? I mean, I can understand the sprinting part since you can’t aim/zoom and shoot while sprint, but the jumping part I had no idea about. What other different scenarios disable aim assist?
It’s not aim assisting turning off. The acceleration curve gets stuck at max value. Try resetting your game.
Do you know where in the settings?
I was pretty sure i had seen it in the settings in beta but cant find it anymore, not sure if iv turned it off lol
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Ken what do you play on? I’m on Series X. Ever since S2 launched I’ve had an absolutely horrible time aiming compared to S1 and I cannot figure out why. My accuracy went from 55%-60% regularly in S1 and now it’s all over the place. The ping for ranked servers has also gone up to 75+ on average, as high as 150 for me today.
Is the ability to toggle aim assist on and off available on console? I should check that. I’ve been trying to change my sensitivity settings and haven’t been able to find anything that works for me now, even though I had it dialed in S1.
