I’m installing the patch now, trying to not get too excited just in case…
How are things for anyone is Aus/NZ after the patch? I’ve seen mixed reports.
I wasn’t finding any games at all previously

It will get slightly better, you might find 2 games per hour. If you get connection to host failed message during search, you have to reset your xbox. Seriously the 1.4 gb patch fixed very little. 343 is a -Yoinking!- joke, they need to stop developing games and move onto something which they cant break.
I’m from New Zealand. I am finding games in 1-3 minutes in all playlists except BTB which still takes over 10 minutes. The connection seems fine to me.
I’m about 5 hours north of Sydney and have yet to find a game since the patch.
Just got a game in about 5 mins. I’m an hour south-east of Melbourne.
EDIT: Spoke to soon, got the pre-game loading screen (with the pic of the map). progress bar didnt progess and lost connection.

Im in Melbourne and have been finding games frequently with only the occasional “failed to connect to host” where i just back out and restart search. Connection is much better now considering i could not find a game before the patch. There is still a lot of room for improvement for 343 to make though. The game is definitely playable now imo.
I was finding games yesterday, but this morning i didn’t find a single one. Sunny coast QLD
Found one game in about 10 minutes and I instantly disconnected from the session just as the map was beginning to load. AND on top of that, the whole game decided to freeze afterwards. Thank you very much for wasting 1.4 gigabytes of my time 343 Industries.
