So since the update I haven’t been able to get a balanced arena or slayer game. I don’t want to quit halo but it’s getting ridiculous. I can only find a game in skirmish and I match fresh accounts or a team of onyx players. Every game ends 50-20 or lower. It’s just not enjoyable to play anymore. I hate to say that because I love halo so much but how much longer can this go on.
yep population is done for down here - its basically expanded or nothing. i get balanced fiesta and firefight - thats about it. not much they can do about it i don’t think - people have just moved on. although i note the TF2 population on the aus server is atrocious as well - so maybe aus console population is just rubbish.
It sucks because I was able to find games easily a month or two ago and I felt like halo was getting bigger again. I dunno why everyone would stop playing. Its not like there are any other good fps out atm. Skirmish is so boring. I hate playing Pegasus every second map. In rotation with mercy.
I seem to be fine getting games on expanded (mostly WZ), though population is definitely an issue - I seem to see a lot of the same faces.
I have more trouble actually staying IN the game however; the first match almost always drops out, as does the occasional one during play over a couple hours.
I also seem to not be able to see or team up with people on my friends list since the last update… they’ll not be listed as online for 3 or 4 matches, then suddenly appear (or worse, they’ll be in my WZ team, but I can’t join them or party up…
There’s server issues for sure, and hopefully they address them soon
Yeh I think that’s happening to everyone atm. Says I have friends online at Xbox home but go into halo and I can’t even see me friends list sometimes. I’m hoping if they fix the servers then maybe I will be able to match in balanced again. Only balanced skirmish works for me Expanded is just so un enjoyable. Can only play 3-4 games before I crack the -Yoink- and turn off lol.
It’s not just AUS it’s everywhere even in the US. Only way to get out of it is rank onyx yourself that way you only face them. I watched my brother play who is gold 4ish and the other team was full of Smurf accounts almost every match. It’s quite astonishing at this point
In November I was living in a house with Fiber to the Premises NBN. Had absolutely no problem finding a focused match in almost any playlist. Moved in December and finally got ADSL installed towards the end of the month. Now I’m pushing it for an expanded match of FFA, having to wait around 3-5 minutes if it’ll match at all. Then depending on how long I’ll play it’ll be the same players over and again. I don’t mind so much, I love learning other players’ strategies, but it would be good to keep it fresh every time.
