August Down-Date

How can you consider this being a playlist update? You aren’t even updating the playlists! All 343 is doing is consolidating playlists and removing 4 or 5 playlists altogether. I understand the low abundance of people playing in some of these playlists, but honestly, did you NEED to remove Anniversary BTB?

Seriously, people who bought CEA now only has a 4v4 option or FireFight, which is a very bold and outright, stupid idea. If you’re going to do that AND remove Squad DLC, then certain playlists need to have DLC required. At this point in Halo Reach’s life cycle, you’re choking what little life is left by forcing people out from what they love to play.

What happens when something you enjoy is taken from you? Do you look for something that’s almost the same as what you had, but knowing you won’t enjoy it the same? No. You leave. That’s what alot of people are going to do when this update hits. I already know I am.

This game lacks a certain level of diverse gameplay, and instead of actually UPDATING THE PLAYLISTS, you decide, “Oh, MatchMaking is only getting consolidated. Have fun with what you’ve had for the last 2 months, because you’re getting to do it for at least another 3 months.”

Good job, 343. Clap…Clap

This game is dying anyway. Just let it go and be happy you can still find matches.

That’s the thing. I have played enough Action Sack andd Anniversary BTB (just to get my HaloTracker 50’s) and I’ve never had issues finding matches. No more than 30 seconds to a minute. Not even a problem. Still sad though.

The only issue I have is why Super Slayer and some of the other equally or more unpopular playlists aren’t getting removed.

19 playlists is still far too many IMO for a game that in a few months will have a few thousand players at best.

I think it’s obvious that whoever makes these updates was under the influence when they made this one…

I think he was a drunkard, I agree.

There is no new playlists, no updates, only removals!

WE MUST FIGHT!

Honestly i dont think it was too bad. But yes completely taking out the DLC playlists except for two anniversary ones was a very bad decision since the first dlc achievements were for any map and the newest ones were dlc specific. this update makes a number of these achievements completely impossible without boosting them.

Bungie did the same thing in Halo 3 when Reach came out. This is nothing new, you trim the fat of the old games to ensure players are still able to find matches when the new game is out.

Halo 3 didn’t have a diversely split community like Reach does. The casuals/terribles play default Reach, and the competitive/good players play TU. It’s quite obvious what’s left of the fanbase by looking at the numbers on the playlists.

They just don’t care. Whatever…
Thank goodness I unlocked every achievement in Reach. But regardless, I can’t agree with these decisions they made.
