I’ve found to be inconsistencies with audio and spatialization / surround sound while playing matches.
I play with a Logitech G633 Headset, and with that in their G Hub software is an option to turn surround sound on and off. I use Dolby 7.1, and it never really presses an issue in anything. I can tell though when Stereo audio is playing versus Surround Sound audio.
Mostly voices and gunfire are what struggle most, and the audio seems to “stutter” around a lot.
Anecdotal example; I was mid-air falling down when my AI said something, and it sounded like he was “teleporting” with his audio next to my ear as I fell in… low-frames?, like it was failing to catch up to me as I fell. Sorta like speaking into a slow fan.
Music and Ambience seem to be fine, especially when in menu. Just voices, gunfire, and the like.
This is consistent on both Dynamic and Compressed Ranges.
Additionally, I simply cannot hear sounds behind my character, and its jarring.
Unsure if that’s an explicit design decision (if so, a terrible one imo), or if a bug with the audio.
Some insight on this, if it’s happening with anyone else, would be appreciated.
