Audio Outside of Player Very Muted

Infinite’s sound design is fantastic, everything sounds crisp and wonderful to hear. However, I keep running into this audio problem that is really frustrating. Now, I’m pretty sure this is a bug, because I haven’t heard anyone else talk about it, but I’m not 100% sure.

Let me describe it, and if you’ve encountered this too, comment your experience.
Sounds outside of what my spartan is doing are heavily muted. Vehicles? Sound like they’re on the other side of the map, until the warthog turret beams me from 5 feet away. The ghost splatters me with only the faintest whoosh as a warning of incoming doom. Being shot by an enemy right next to me? Sounds like distant gunfire, and the only way I know there’s an enemy shooting at me is the HUD indicators; even those sometimes aren’t enough because my big ol’ brain interprets the gunfire I’m hearing as far away and not an issue. Silly brain. I’ve had enemies right next to me, like two sardines in a can, shooting at teammates and had no idea until I was ninja’d or, by some good fate, happened to look in their direction. I’ve died to grenades that I had no idea were thrown because there was no audio cue to run away from. There are no footsteps or jumping sounds to tell me there’s an enemy nearby, and the new radar set up only exacerbates this.

Has anyone else had this issue? It’s got to be a bug, right? I hope it is, because it dramatically affects situational awareness and responsiveness.
