Audio mixing is dreadful

Am I the only person that has noticed this not just in infinite, but in all of 343’s Halo game’s that there’s a major issue with secondhand combat audio? I never hear weapons going off, my shield draining, etc… I just fall over dead with no recollection as to what Happened. But when you go back to a title like Halo 3, there is major care put into hearing other people’s gunfire, and even at a far distance you’re still treated to the soft crack of gunfire in the battles going on in the distance. I feel this isn’t just an “Oh, wouldn’t that be quaint” sort of feature. But is rather detrimental to gameplay and player information/awareness.
