Audio Issue - Headphones and HDMI Output

DESCRIPTION
First of all. I just want to say I have submitted a ticket for this already. Also, I have worked on computers (for a living) for over 15 years so please don’t assume I haven’t tried all of the basic troubleshooting.

So, I played Halo Infinite through the test flights and have been playing since about 45 min after the beta release and there were no issues with sounds at all until a few days ago.

I have been searching in the forums for solutions / related issues and I have come across some people talking about it but it seems like it usually pertains to people using headphones (BT specifically) but I have wired headphones and the audio is still messed up while playing sound through my TV speakers through HDMI.

QUESTION
I was just wondering if anyone has found any kind of solution to the issue or have any other ideas for me.

SPECIFIC ISSUES

  • No music (main menu or in game)
  • No AI voices
  • MY weapon firing only has sounds sometimes. Sometimes it sounds like I’m firing underwater.
    • Example: Only sound from Sidekick is clicking as the clip is getting low
  • Other weapons can only be heard off in the distance
  • Grenade explosions are only audible for (roughly) 1/4 of the total sound
  • All I seem to hear most of the time is sound / environmental effects

THINGS I’VE TRIED

  • Adjusting main, music, menu music, etc… levels in game
  • Changing EVERY setting in the sound control panel (Windows 11)
  • Removed audio drivers and software and reinstalled
  • Removed Halo Infinite (and abandoned files) and then reinstalled
  • Pulled my hair out and cried in the corner for 3 hours straight

EXTRA INFORMATION
I have noticed that from time to time I will get really bad performance drops. It’s like the sound is being played in slow motion and task manager shows “windows audio device graph isolation” having really high power usage when this is happening. The game seems to run fine other than the audio struggling.
