Attrition Power weapon Ammo

I feel like the power weapon ammo should be halved in attrition. Four rockets is too big of a punishment for losing the initial fight, at that point you’ve just lost the game.

Spitting straight facts there.

Nah I think it encourages coordination

The whole game encourages coordination, that’s a hat on a hat.

I agree. Power weapon ammo for the SPNKr is reduced in Ranked to 2 rockets, and you can even respawn more freely in Ranked.

I’d like to try limiting the amount of power weapon ammo that spawns for Weapon Pad/One shot Kill weapons in Attrition. If it doesn’t work or makes it less fun, change it back.

Not really its just a hat.
So making the Power weapon less desirable in social will change behaviour. The rocket for example tunnels the teams then puts an emphasis on movement and evasion for the team against it while the team with bunch up ans clean up the splashed.
Not to mention the rocket can be easily taken out by teamwork or baited into false security .
I’ve won plenty of matches where we didn’t get the rocket I feel reducing ammo to 2 just makes it less effective at guiding players.
I respect your opinion all the same but don’t share it.

Halving ammo can also force coordination so as not to waste precious resources.

100% agreed, must be halved.

In a best case Scenario sure. But in many social matches making the rocket less desirable and less reliable of newb friendly would see the mindset change for many.
I dont think it would be a net benefit for the mode over all.

The rockets won’t be any less desirable or reliable, they’re rockets, they annihilate the enemy, but with 4 rockets in a game mode with 6 lives… there goes most of your health pool assuming your opponent can land his shots , and if enemy already won the fight for rockets, it’s just painful snowballing at that point.

People will still fight for rockets, it just won’t be what feels like a deciding factor for each game.

In a gamemode with 8 spare lives, even 2 rockets are still highly desirable since they can instakill. And I don’t think Attrition is supposed to be a really “newb friendly” mode, at least compared to most other traditional stuff like regular Slayer.

Gotta sword on Recharge. Frenzied the enemy team. That’s 10 of their 12 lives…

I can understand your logic but I don’t agree.
So 4 shots is more forgiving in the event a newer player misses but it also punishes the impulse to relode and that window gives greater opportunity to see the enemy take the spnkr. So in a way 4 shots is more balanced than 2.
Its a social mode and has the easiest to unlock rewards tied to it at this time thus it is very much aimed at the casual player not the core fan base. At least that’s my perspective on it.

The more ammo the rockets have the weaker it is? That makes absolutely no sense.

Not what I said, I can understand your reasoning though.

But yeah not of the opinion that reducing ammo on power weapons helps the mode personally.
This wouldn’t effect the spnkr exclusively either
