If a weapon is dropped, it shouldn’t disappear. I am tired of losing weapons that should be available on the battlefield. That is my only gripe - other than that, I am loving this game
Thier despawn timer is about 10 seconds or less, very agravating.
Then the map would be even more full of power weapons…
i counted on multiplayer when i was watching a replay and it took 30 seconds to disappear. my previous body was still laying there and my gun was already gone.

THIS. I’m afraid since you can get a ridiculous amount of power weapons through weapon drops, there are simply too many on the field of play and add to that the rando ones that spawn in front of noobs who die with them.
However in play lists where there is no ordnance and only a few, they should have some longer times.
The worst part is it’s apparently intentional.
In Spartan Ops, it can drive players to just rely on the coward method/grinding.
It’s much more reasonable in campaign but it’s still there (in that, often, you can’t revisit past areas).

Lower the ordinance drop rate.
Yeah, that’s one of my major gripes. Pick up a Fuel rod cannon in Spartan Ops and die, come back in less than ten seconds to find all of your items have despawned.
The weapon disappear rate is certainly absurd. The poster who mentioned the high rate of ordinance drop has a point though, I didn’t consider that. But that is only for Infinity Slayers. So they should absolutely increase the stay time of weapons on the map.
I’ve heard the MLG community say that it is approximately 12 seconds till they disappear, but if you are looking at the weapon or even in its proximity they stay longer. That is worth noting.
But the verdict remains: increase the stay time of weapons.
Dumbest part about the game imo.

This. Plus in Spartan Ops, the enemies who you killed disappear also. I don’t want to swerve off topic but as soon as the Pelican’s landed. It’s like you just got there. No traces of your atomic -Yoink- detonating that area.
And unlimited lives (plus a difficulty) and unlimited vehicle respawns? How old do you think we are?
