I love the game and my friends and I have generally been having a great time, but there is one thing that ALWAYS gets us hating on its design: the Boltshot. My brother even goes so far as to conjecture you called it that because you KNEW it was “bulls**t” and it sounds very similar. I get that this is something that is discussed on here pretty regularly, but I haven’t seen a topic in some time, so I thought I’d add a new one. I assume 343 already knows that the Boltshot MUST be altered. It is simply too powerful as-is.
Now, besides the fact that it is CRAZY that you start with a one-shot kill weapon in your loadout in HALO (this isn’t Call of Duty) if you’d like… I’m generally fine with the weapon’s existence and admittedly I use it. But regardless, I think there are some serious changes needed, as follows:

The effective kill-range must be reduced. It kills from an absurd distance and I am oftentimes blown away (literally and figuratively) by some of the instances of my death. I have come upon a guy at medium range - a range in which I am engaging with the DMR - and been killed by this thing.

It must consume more ammunition than four individual shots. It should consume the entire clip. Like I said, it’s ridiculous that you can set a class up to start with a one-shot kill weapon, but to have so many kill-shots with it is mind-boggling. For such a powerful effect you should have to pay a large cost. Four bullets is nothing.
I’m not trying to be obnoxious by posting this, and I think I’m a pretty decent player (1.5 KDR over 315 games). I just think this is a legitimate problem (unlike many complaints on here) with the game and can easily be fixed. Please do so. Thanks.
