I’ve been given a small glimmer of hope. We went out for the cheapest Xbox 360 on sale, and now we can’t use Theater Mode. However in this insightful thread , I learned that 343i had made an update that allowed Slim users to access Theater Mode in Reach! If they could do that for Reach, then they surely can for Halo 4! As a Slim user, it is now a dear ambition of mine to get 343i to see this, and possible add it to the upcoming TU…
No, it’s not because your Xbox is a 360S. I have a 360S and I can use theater. It’s because you have a 4GB 360S. It makes a difference.

I saw that…but doesn’t mean others will read your entire post. 
Plus, I too have the 4GB model…BUT I am using the hard drive from my last 360S (I blew it up on accident. Whoops.) so the differentiation of, “You need additional, physical HD space” is kind of helpful. 
You can pick up a 20 GB HDD on Amazon for around $30 if you really want one. Then you can use theater mode all the time.
