I personally think it sound like a piece of -Yoink-. It honestly sounds like a squeezy bottle. BUT people who have played halo 4 at PAX say that all the weapons sound 100% better.
On "THIS"video, at 1:30 you can hear the magnum without any background music, only some SOFT talking. I dont believe a magnum can sound this bad, and i dont think 343 thinks this sounds good because it doesnt. Otherwords, if this is it, they obviously dont give a cr@p about sounds.
If you have played at PAX, does the magnum sound much better than this with an actual boom/bang or does it sound the same?
Most PX vids were recorded from video cameras so it was pretty crap recording, especially since its PAX. I remember seeing a family video on the internet with a massive -Yoink!- on the families t shirts making tons of noise, and while it was funny I couldn’t hear at all what they were saying without subtitles.
Before I played at PAX, I also thought it sounded like a pea-shooter that was about to fall apart. PAX changed my mind, though. It actually has a bit of a “kick” to it! It doesn’t sound like any other gun that I’ve heard, but I liked it!
