I know this might have been requested alot but I want to explain my reason.
My roommate and I finished the weekly challenges Sunday Night him on the Series X and me on the Series S and honestly I felt a sense of accomplishment but than comes Monday and there are no more challenges and the only way to earn XP is 50 per game. Well although I am done with the weekly challenges I am still trying to level up to get certain unlockable items but now I have to play 20 games to level up one level. I am a casual gamer and although I love Halo I was there Day one OG Xbox OG Halo I am not that good and 20 games is a lot for me in one sitting especially if I am playing alone without friends.
But if you attach XP points to medals it make the medals actually worth something and make you more excited to get them. I have played games where I only received 2 medals and even if that would give me just 10 points per medal I would feel like that game I just played meant something.
The harder the medal is to achieve the more points you receive.
Example Double kill medal can be worth say 10 XP Not easy but not as hard to achieve but where Killamanjaro 7 kills could be 60 XP and Killionaire 10 kills 100 XP plus they only count in PvP matches.
- Perfection – go an entire match without dying and have at least 15 kills means not much but also receiving 50 XP for it since it is a semi hard one means even more now.
The harder to achieve the medal the more points you receive ranging from 10 XP to 100XP
