Atriox has his chainbreaker mace and armour.
Tartarus has his Fist of Ruk and shield system.
Who wins? and why?
(Single combat, let’s say guardian from halo 3 is the venue.)

Tough to say until we see more of Atriox though taking on the entire Red Team and handing them their armored behinds certainly puts him at least near to Tartar-sause’s level. Mr. Mohawk was pretty awesome too since he was slaughtering droves of elites like nothing. Still Atriox seems to be the smarter combatant so in the event that they are relative equals in terms of raw strength that should give our new Brute friend the advantage.
I think Atriox would win by a land slide, Tartarus is close minded while Atriox is smarter. Both have alot of combat experience, but i think Atriox has more. Plus Atriox fought the covant, Tartarus did not. In the video for Atriox they said that he was unmatched when the covanant went against him, so i think he has a better track record compared to Tartarus.
Atriox will when. Tartarus might have his Fist of Rukt, but Atroix has his cool red hammer and robot arm.
Atriox, 343 is really trying to emphasize on how smart he is. I hope he kills a few Spartans to make the story a bit more darker and realistic.
I mean with Johnson dead no one is here to stop Tartarus’s reign

Spare Red Team please.
Atriox, without a doubt.
i would vote for Tartarus for few reasons. Tartarus was the chieftain of the brutes and if you know how brutes obtain that rank, it goes as following, they simply kill their predecessor. This means the chieftain is also the best warrior the brute can ever be. The second thing is his weapon, the fist of rukt, this ancient weapon is legend, it has (in addition to sheer force amplified with gravity attack) a gravity pulse to push enemies (as seen in Halo 2 with Tartarus betraying arbiter) and somekind of ability to keep at least objects in hold (seen with Tartarus using fist of rukt to grab 343 guilty spark in Halo 2) to me it seems it doesnt matter whether its somekind of magnetic or device using the same gravity technology as other functions of the hammer since it would grab Atriox in either case (Atriox having armor). The third thing is Tartarus’ shields which could take 2 beam rifle shots before needing to recharge and seeming to be invulnerable to many other weapons (including energy swords and brute shots).
I vote for Tartarus.
First, IMO it is unlikely that Tartarus has less combat experiences than Atriox, since Tartarus is one of the highest Chief of Brutes, and Brutes don’t elect their leader by lectures and debates.
Second, Tartarus has better equipments.

We already lost black team, please let red team make it through. Don’t bring them back after nine years only to kill them off.
Tartarus of course
It depends in what aspect we are talking about. Heads up fight One on One, possibly Tartarus. It is clear that the difference between the two is Atriox’s superior intellect and battle strategy. Tartarus has the battle experience, and equipment. But I think anything outside “They are in a ring with nothing but their normal equipment.” Atriox wins, they are setting him up to be more BA than Tartarus…
Besides Tartarus obviously couldn’t stop home boy from leaving. So I am calling scared…
Atriox is basically the Brute Arbiter… Covenant was afraid of him.
Tartarus is strong but Atriox can defeat him for his acquired skills in his past
Atriox hands down.
Atriox would win Because He is way more powerful
