Atriox vs Tartarus, who would win?

If Atriox and Tartarus got into a fight, who would come out victorious? And who would lose?
I’d say this is a pretty even fight.
Ok, to clarify, in this fight, it is just Atriox vs Tartarus in hand to hand combat with no support. Just raw brain vs raw braun.

  • If Tartarus surprised Atriox, Tartarus would win due to superior strength and his invincible shielding. - If Atriox planned ahead of time, Atriox would win by outsmarting Tartarus with tactics (coming prepared with a hidden beam rifle) to take down the invincible shielding, then finishing him off with a quick fatal blow.

In case that happens, Atriox would win for his brutality in combat and his experience in survival.

Atriox took on three Spartan-IIs and won… temporarily disabling one of those Spartans in fact. Tartarus got spanked by a single Elite despite having an honor guard surrounding him. I know a lot of the Tartarus boss fight comes down to game play decisions, but I still don’t see Tartarus beating Atriox.

Tartarus was a fairly immature Chieftain. He ascended to that rank well before he should have (Maccabeus should not have lost that fight in First Contact, but narratively I understand why that had to happen). Atriox on the other hand is a seasoned fighter, tactician, strategist, and leader. Tartarus was all brawn while Atriox had the brains with the brawn to back it up.

Tartarus did not get spanked by a single Elite. There were far more Elites fighting him than there were Brues in his Honor Guard.

Tartarus killed dozens of Elites coming at him before he fell, he was literally invincible without the help of Johnson’s beam rifle taking down his shields.

You make a fair point. But still a lot of that comes down to a game play decision surrounding a boss fight. My stronger point was the fact that Tartarus was a pretty immature Chieftain who was still blinded by zealotry. Atriox on the other hand is unburdened by that same zealotry. Beyond the physical specifications of both opponents, Atriox is just a far more experienced fighter and a better leader.

When the chips are down, I’d bet Atriox would be quicker to switch to unconventional tactics, while Tartarus might have been more honorable and constrained by faith.

Atriox ganaria por fuerza

Translation: If I win the red team alone

tarturus mostly gained power due to the brute takeover instead of having a more experienced brute instead

I think atriox would best Tartarus, but just barely survive

I think it would vary on the circumstances. But from my perspective, my money would have to go to Atriox because be was a stealth/stalker back in his Covenant days so he knows how to sneak up on people (look what he did to Red Team in Halo Wars 2 as an example).

I could see it going either way

Atriox wins. Tartarus got slapped by a few elites and Johnson. Atriox slapped an entire Spartan II fireteam.

Atriox all the way. He’d use Tartarus’ aggression against him and either tire him out or put him in a vulnerable position

atriox is the law in halo universe

Atriox would win 9/10 times but Tartarus could still win if he was able to plan ahead and prepare

Atriox
