So I know most of us have seen red teams first encounter with Atriox. He treated 3 Spartans like THIS. I understand they are wearing outdated gear but my question is…
Who here believes atriox has a chance against John 117 himself?!
LETS GET READY TO RUMMMBLE!
In a straight up fight I don’t think there’s much debate to be had. Atriox would be the clear winner. John isn’t the fastest, strongest, or smartest Spartan. He’s just the most lucky and the “Jack of all trades” guy.
In the lore John fought with a brute and almost lost. That was most likely just a regular brute. Atriox is more than that.
I love 117 as much as the next guy and there aren’t many people in the Halo Universe who could best him in a fight… but Atriox is one of them.

I guess it also depends on weponry. Atriox made it clear that ranged weaponry meant nothing to him because he could close the gap with his gravity mace. But if he doesn’t have the mace and it’s a fist fight? Probably less of a blowout but my money is still on the space monkey.
John is a pretty cool cat, but Trox handled Jerome, Alice, and Douglas with ease. I feel like Trox would have no troubles with 117.
117 took down tartarus and the didact, so I wouldn’t completely count him out. It also depends on the situation and environment.
Atriox. What others have said are valid points. I think John and Atriox are similar in the sense that they can be cunning in the way they fight. Atriox though, is a different animal. He’s got the strength of a brute, but is cunning and wise when it comes to fighting on top of that. He’s not a dumb brute, there is finecse in Atriox like an Elite. Those are scary attributes.
Also, did you see that reaction time at the end of AtN? He didn’t even flinch or have to look. Sorry 117, you are a bad mother lover, but I think the future does belong to Atriox.

Counter point, Atriox won’t give him that window because he’s much more aware of the threat his opponent poses, or he’s sturdy enough to withstand it.
Douglas stabbed Atriox either a combat knife, it drew blood but Atriox didn’t even care.

Lol no it was in the belly so it is different.
I think it would be a heck of a fight. Especially if Chief didn’t have plot armor. They’re both ridiculously cunning (something other Brutes aren’t) and they’re combat abilities are nuts.

Now now now boys. I think we are under estimating the Chief . Atriox did abuse red team but they were wearing 30 yr old suits. That’s like comparing the sega genesis power to an Xbox one X lol.
I also don’t see atriox as the big bad guy every depicts him as. Look at it this way, how cunning and slick can he be when captain cutter outwits him in the campaign? Lol
Atriox was shook and told cutter if he leaves now he won’t chase him and his men and cutter laughed at that and could smell Atriox fear!
I also believe Atriox thinks he can overpower Spartans easily … “just what I thought, nothing but a puny man” … but again old outdated suits , so being so cocky might be at a disadvantage in the chiefs favor.
John 117 can not and will not be defeated!!!
