(this could be a spoiler so open if you dare) Anyone have thoughts on this?

Yeah, Jerome and Alice grab Douglas and flee, Atriox sends his forces after the Spartans. Red Team gets in a Warthog but get surrounded by Banished forces but Spirit of Fire sends missiles to their location.

I’m worried he’ll kill one of them, and so they all won’t make it to Halo 6.
I believe there will be significant loss. Including one of the Spartans. The thought of all 3 of them dying makes my chest hurt

i hope not, and i think atriox doesnt really have what it takes to kill a spartan. Not after that fight that showed the red team Atriox’s fighting style and strategy.

I highly doubt that. HW2 takes place after Halo 5, which means during Halo 6 on the Ark, so there can’t be a crossover. They will probably appear in Halo 7, though

You know this game is part of the Reclaimer Saga right? Atriox for sure, and don’t know which others are gonna meet up with John and the others in Halo 6.

Ehm not really. HW2 takes place months after Halo 5 (I think) and with the cliffhanger ending, it is most likely Halo 6 will pick right up where Halo 5 left off. Maybe the characters from HW2 are going to appear in a cutscene at the end, but that’s it.
Also, the Banished wouldn’t quite in the Cortana storyline. What would they do? Fight Cortana and fight the UNSC? Ally with the UNSC after fighting against them for so long? It seems like they are set up to be the next antagonist, replacing the Covenant, so they would probably want to have Halo 7 entirely about them, while Halo 6 is about Cortana.

Halo 6 could happen years after halo 5. I mean it could happen. Banished could be a wild card in halo 6 to make it less polarized like there is the flood was in before. Or maybe not but I think it is not that unlikely.

Yes, but that’s incredibly unlikely. The Infinity is on the run, do you expect it to be on the run for the next couple of years? MC and the arbiter are at Sanghelios, do you expect Cortana to just ignore them?
Or do you think they will have made huge changes and you are put into this new world?
I don’t expect either of that to happen, because the Infinity is actively being chased, so they don’t have much time, and it seems like MC and arbiter are plotting their next move on Sanghelios. MC and the arbiter are going to act now and try to stop Cortana, they can’t really skip that part in Halo 6.
And having HW2 introduce the villain for Halo 7 actually sounds like a great plan, if they wanted to have the Banished as enemy in Halo 6, they would’ve made HW2 play during Halo 5.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it’s highly unlikely and with our current information, we should assume that the Banished won’t appear in Halo 6, because otherwise we will just be disappointed.

Of course, 'cuz 343i thinks that’s the best idea to show what a brave, badass character we have, who capable to be the new face of Halo.
Maybe the epilogue of Halo Wars 2 will be ended how ridiculously Locke, from nowhere gonna take down Atriox.
Or the first Halo 6 trailer gonna show this on E3.
