have 343 even outlined what the new single-player dlc is for season pass owners before they want you to buy this expansion for $20?

For a full campaign spin-off with different mechanics, Firefight and all the DLC included on one disc for Halo 3 ($30 total for the Legendary, Mythic 1 and 2 map packs and that’s with making the Heroic map pack free like they did.)
ODST was also a spin off, not a DLC. It came with those benefits to incentivize purchase.

Not that I know of. The blog post only said you play as the banished against the flood.
As for if season oass holders get a discount? Unlikely since it wasn’t specifically mentioned.

My Bad. Still doesn’t change my point.
Actually there are 7. No they never say it would cover all DLC Instead they told us exactly what it would cover… As show above. Sorry but it doesn’t take a genius to understand what your getting out of it when the Description is shown in every stores that sells it.

ODST was intended as an expansion, Bungie released it as a separate game to make more money and to fill the place of one of the 2 games they still owed MS on their contract. Including the DLC was nice, but if you already had it then they just forced you to buy it twice.

Different Mechanics? Like What? Slightly slower running and a camera view closer to the ground?
And Im sure all the people that Already had Halo 3 cared so much about that Multiplayer they already had… And Im sure that very few people that Bought ODST had halo 3 as well…
Look at this.
> We also shed new light on what fans can expect with the Season Pass, including new content available every third Wednesday of the month, new campaign missions in Operation: Spearbreaker and a new leader named Kinsano.
This is what was said in this community update. It only mentions Operation: Spearbreaker. If you can find something further back, go for it.

VISR, bringing engineers into the mix, these are mechanics, no matter how small.

Uh huh a super vague description that says we’ll get new leaders and expanded campaign content for over half a year. So essentially 343 is hitting this vague cutoff point after half a year, calling two campaign missions, yes 2 which is probably like 30-40 minutes of content unless you do a legendary first run for them the expanded campaign content which is splitting hairs since technically they are expanding the campaign, but barely. The description was shown and changed and nothing was ever confirmed.

More like you aren’t a super soldier so you can’t easily fist fight a brute or throw grenades as far. You have less health and die more easily. You very clearly aren’t a super soldier in ODST. It plays much differently than the spartan campaigns where you run around and roflstomp enemies for the most part with your pick of weaponry. ODST if you run in guns blazing on Heroic or higher you’re probably going to die.

Yea and if I had known it would’ve only been 2 missions back then I’d have asked what the hell the point was earlier. When you say you’ll expand the campaign, people expect more than 2 missions.

Fine then its still not different as Adding an entirely new type of enemy like the flood and adding 2 new leaders with new units and new abilities adds many new mechanics as well.
I’ll admit, I was a little bit annoyed about this too, but I also kinda feels like this might have once been under the SP, but it kept on developing to the point, where it was so big they felt that they had to sell it as an expansion to warrant the time and effort put into ATN.
So I wonder if they’ll make a compromise, for example, giving the Ultimate Edition/SP Owners say a 40% discount for a month, before dropping it to a a permanent 20% discount, that way less people will feel like they’ve been ‘ripped off’. Still wouldn’t appease everyone, but it’d be nice to see them do something that shows they’ve acknowledged all this.

Seem fairly clear to me. They have all said the same thing show me one that doesn’t basically say 7 new leader and new Campaign Missions(that does not mean an full second campaign). And yes it does say only 6 months of content and that part is very clear. I would very much love to see where you get your info on unannounced content…

Well gee maybe if you could READ you’d see a lot of people commenting on how they changed the descriptions for the season pass, but I’ll link it since you like being lazy
Gee wow look at that. Can you read that? Click a couple links maybe. See a pretty picture? Just in case you can’t it clearly changes from campaign expansions witb exclusive missions to just campaign missions.
Also way to completely oversimplify the changes because the VISR is an overlay, not just a flash light, but you know maybe if you weren’t a priss I wouldn’t be sarcastic and catty right back at you, especially when I’m providing proof of my argument here.

Yeah, remember Halo 3: ODST? The $60 Halo 3 expansion?
But yeah, I agree with you. Thought this would be covered under the Season Pass for what it is. At least CD Projekt Red still knows how to do a proper expansion. Blood & Wine for Witcher 3 kept me busy for weeks. I got that at a discount and after playing it, I felt like I ripped them off and should mail them the amount I saved plus a fat tip. lol.
But this … this just feels like “wait, another $20? Then why did I pay $80 for this game in the first place?”

Especially when the Witcher 3 expansion pass was what $25 for more content than Halo wars 2 and Halo 5 combined lol. Not to mention if you didn’t buy the ultimate edition the season pass eas actually $30.

I cannot tell what point you are trying to argue but glad you can at least concede to some points.
I believe the season pass is deliberately vague to let consumers believe all future DLC would be included especially considering the cut off for the season pass says ‘more than six months’ which means could last from 7 months to 5 years if we are reading semantically. It is just a shady business thing to do. I am not arguing the value of the expansion but the way we were mislead with our purchase of the season pass because as most games go it promises dlc for that yearly cylce of content, which typical for most games stop being worked on a year after release. It is not the consumers fault the product they were sold was misadvertised (or maybe more correctly poorly marketed). It is 343 causing a PR nightmare. They should have done what Fallout did when they realised they were prepared to make an expansion by telling the community that they plan on increasing there dlc output and as a result are increasing the price of the season pass but those who had already purchased the content get upgraded for free. This led many people to be very happy with fallouts dlc deal. ODST, ultimately, was a full priced game and was advertised as one despite it starting as dlc for halo 3. However, this is not a spin-off it is an expansion, dlc. So in theory show be expected to be in a season pass as that is commonly what is practiced in the industry and the description suggests in no way some dlc would be excluded from the pass. The fact is you could play ODST without owning Halo 3 but you need HW2 for you to play this expansion, so ODST is not relevant in this argument as an expansion to Halo 3 because it is its own game which happened to include h3 multiplayer with all dlc which was a fair deal at the time, while the expansion aint because you will have had to have bought hw2 to even play the thing, this is basically seasin pass 2…
> 2533274818737568;83:
> Hmm. $20. Is it worth it?
It would be worth it if they gave us a flood leader, sadly flood won’t be playable.
Hold up, this isn’t the story DLC we knew about already? This is extra? We’re still getting that too with the Season Pass? This is just a little bonus add on for $20?
… ok then. Nevermind. That’s different. I misunderstood.

The Season Pass delivers regular updates that span more than six months, including: New Leaders with abilities that change the course of multiplayer matches, new Units that add to your multiplayer arsenal, new Blitz cards to collect and take into battle, and new campaign missions that expand the Halo Wars 2 story.”
> > > > > > > > Nowhere does it stated that this would be getting you all the DLC. It also don’t state that you would get a full second campaign and a firefight mode. You guys remember Halo 3 ODST. What was in that I wonder? Oh a Full Campaign and a Firefight mode… How much did that Cost? 40$ And guess what, it was made that same way this Expansion is being made. Yet it wasn’t covered by the Halo 3’s Season Pass either.

It plays much differently than the spartan campaigns where you run around and roflstomp enemies for the most part with your pick of weaponry. ODST if you run in guns blazing on Heroic or higher you’re probably going to die.

Oh I’m sorry. Everyone except Rarr would like more value for their purchase because we understand the value of a dollar and don’t like shady business practices, but they’re okay with it because reasons.
If that’s the only counter point you can make to my post my point gas been proven sufficiently.
