ATN Not In Season Pass?

I can’t wait to see how -Yoink- the halo 6 sales and preorder numbers are between the MCC, halo 4’s multiplayer, halo 5’s aiming mechanic that still has yet to be fixed and finally how they treated the loyal fans of halo wars 2 like cows rather than customers between the randomness of when they communicate and then when it was found out thAt they changed the season pass description they pushed the issue back onto the community instead of taking responsibility (this reminds me of when I was 7 and would run downstairs in the middle of the night to get a cookie my mother would hear me and come downstairs and she asked me"what are you doing with your hand in the cookie jar" and I responded “what are you doing up so late”)when they said they were sorry for the outrage that was created but never said sorry for doing it in the first place. In putting it down right here that I will never be buying a 343I game again

NOTHING, suggests what would be un Season Pass, only description un store, they could not include Kinsano, or the Arbiter or Colony Leaders, nothing suggest it had been in Season pass, Season pass pintura Washington released on June, they can do what they want, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be dissappointment.
I think, Banished campaing should have been in Season pass, not new leaders, not new mode, the description says that will expand story, and it, don’t expand it.
Annoying to me, not to you, differents viewpoints

I agree with this sentiment

How is addition any different? It’s the same thing. Why are you complaining about it?

It’s all this forum post has been about. Complaining for the sake of complaining.

Then why change it if it’s the same thing?
Obviously there is a difference if it needs a clarification, and thus was changed.

As I already said, anything that adds to the game can be regarded as an Expansion by the literal meaning of the word “Expand”. However, in gaming circuits that’s not the case. Hench why we haven’t gotten a bunch of “Expansions” with every single Leader release.

An Add-on is generally smaller sized extra content released for a game, not doing much, or anything new with the game itself.

An Expansion is a larger release with quite a significant amount of content, either changing the game in some way, adding a large amount of contend and sometimes adding something new into the mix. A significant update and face-lift to a game.

Awaken the Nightmare is a light weight expansion. It however adds the flood and Terminus Firefight and has five campaign missions.
Significantly more than two campaign missions.

Looking back at Elder Scrolls Oblivion.
Knights of Nine is regarded to be an Add-on.
Shivering Isles is regarded as an Expansion.

So, with that out of the way.
IF Expansion and add-on / addition are the same, what needed to be clarified with a change of the description?
See, IF they are the same, then I don’t see a need for a clarification in the first place.
What exactly needed clarification?

Complaining about what?
Well for one thing I kind of dislike being misled about things, or if we don’t want to go down that road.
I dislike not being informed of changes to my purchases, description and so forth, no matter how minute the changes are.

I know I don’t matter and I’m one stupid irrelevant voice in a sea of voices that also don’t matter to a greedy company, but as someone who saw the ultimate edition and saw ‘campaign missions’ and immediately knew that’s what I wanted out of the game more than any multiplayer -Yoink- that I don’t care about, I for the first and only time went and bought one of these ultimate/season pass editions of games that I loathe.

I am disgusted to now find out after the fact that I don’t get the campaign I expected I’d be getting. Great job 343’s marketing, you preyed on people by using unspecific wording and got what you wanted. I know you’re happy with the outcome and couldn’t care less about how angry your fanbase is but this is the last time I buy something from you.

I have been boycotting Konami since 2015, Warner Bros since 2013? 2014? and now I’m going to be boycotting you because I feel completely duped and your games are already filled to the brim with trashy, manipulative microtransaction/lootbox/rng gambling mechanics.

The greed is endless. Thanks a lot.

I contacted MS support. So I bought a disc version from best buy of the ultimate edition. Of course they could not give me any sort of refund or credit. However, they said if I had purchased from Microsoft they could credit the DLC to my account.

Just letting anyone know. If you purchased the Ultimate Edition from Microsoft they will work with you on this. I recommend contacting them.

I actually really like this analogy. It might even be better then the ordering a sandwich and receiving literal garbage in the shape of a sandwich, and then being told by someone else that because they ate the sandwich you have to eat the sandwich.

Yeah, the one I use is directed more at the people who defend 343 with the argument of ‘I liked the and got my money’s worth, so shut up and play the game or don’t.’

Since I haven’t posted on this mega thread I just wanted to say that I think it’s pretty dumb ATN wasn’t in the season pass. Like we aren’t stupid 343. A season pass always includes all the DLC for a game.

It’s pretty obvious they made Spearbreaker (2 chore missions) in order to fulfill the promise of “campaign missions being in the season pass.

i don’t think there’s anyone wouldn’t trade the Spearbreaker campaign for 2 more missions in the ATN campaign; and that just shows how uninteresting and boring Spearbreaker was.

That being said, ATN wasn’t in the season pass but it should have been. We all know it should have been, 343 knows it should have been but something changed that decision.

Gotta move on guys, if you wanna boycott Halo 6 that’s fine but arguing in this thread won’t do anything for ya

This point is interesting, please tell me, when you say they credit DLC, do you mean refund Season Pass, refund Season Pass and delete it from your account or give you credit for ATN?

Damn 343i, they lie us with not more than 6 months of DLCs or expand the story and some people defend them… I don’t understand…

Given? I paid $30 for the season pass! Explain to me what part of that is given!

And se paid for more than six months of contento and expand the story…
If they don’t plan give ALL dlcs with SEASON PASS, don’t call this, call Expansion Pass or Leader Pass, or six months Pass…

They lied to you.

I tried this. I called Windows Store support, they redirected me to Xbox support. Then I talk to store support again. And Xbox support one more time and in the end they told me to contact the game developper … All that in “one” phone call, talking to actual -Yoink!- employees, explaining the issue, explaining that when I bought the game it was said “more than six months”, telling them that I had proof of that (a screen capture).

And no, I had nothing. What a bunch of liars. Don’t waste your time.

Thanks for giving an update on this. I was going to call but I’m not going to bother wasting my time.

@Microsoft/343, I hope it was worth it. You just lost a customer. After the master chief collection and now this? You don’t deserve anymore chances.

Yeah, when I got my refund they tried to pass me off to 343i, Creative Assembly and even the Halo Waypoint Forums to not have to deal with me themselves. It was only as I proved to them that all these avenues they provided weren’t viable that they eventually conceded and took responsibility.

Not a word of a lie, when I asked for direct contact info for 343i, who they kept insisting I had to contact to make my claim this is the link they provided.

I contacted the Xbox support twice. The first time I called the German support. The employee said he can’t just assign the DLC to me, I have to contact the developer.
The second time I chatted with the US support. At first they didn’t even understand. They told me all the time, that AtN is not included in the season pass and this is written in its description. Then their manager introduced himself in the chat. It took several attempts for them to understand the actual problem. They also said I have to contact the developer which we all did here and know no one ever replied. But they also opened an investigating ticket so they would also check and talk to the developer. Nothing they could do “right now” though. A couple of hours later I got an E-Mail that AtN is not included in the season pass (You don’t say?!) and that’s it.

Without insultig and swearing, this will teach me and I will not buy games from 343 and Creative Assembly again.

A season pass doesn’t always include every dlc. I know plenty of games that use the season pass system 343 used. When I buy a season pass, I expect the amount of content they intended for that season pass (that “season”)
