If 343i considered those two missions the expansion, I think the wording would have remained unchanged. 1000!_ @Richnj, I’m glad you got your money back.
Although, if you’ve already played through the game, I see that as being more shady than what 343 did.
You didn’t know about the flood, ATN, or anything when you preordered. So demanding a refund for what you want, when you didn’t even know what it is, after using up the initial product? Just feels off.
Anyway, I’m glad they were nice enough to refund you.

Oh I don’t think that 343 is a bunch of lying dirtbags.
I try to have conversations with those people that DON’T see it that way, which plenty have seen it as sleezy or underhanded, which still leads room for debate and discussion.

Well sorry friends I payed for ALL the dlc with my ULTIMATE edition!!! This is completely unfair and highway robbery tbh. They gave us 2 missions with their “season pass” and the two missions wasn’t even that fun. Not that fun is a requirement here… But I’d say getting what I freaking paid for is!! I echo other people in saying 343i your the new EA! I was mad at your crappy Halo 5 launch I couldn’t even play, and now you want to charge me another $20 for DLC I already paid for with my $100 ultimate edition. Yeah I don’t think so. I went so far as to go to Microsoft support over this, and they said they feel for me! Going so far as to let me purchase ATM and then refunding it right away while keeping it. Which they shouldn’t even have to do! Seriously wake up and smell the fact you’re slapping your best and most supportive customers in the face with this! Not that you care because now it’s out already couple days and nothing has changed price wise. Definitely NOT buying anymore ULTIMATE editons from you, because ultimately you don’t care about gamers, just your pockets.
> > > > > >
> > > > > > 1. In the Ultimate Edition it said it provided the season pass, which does not include ATN. Not saying it’s right/wrong that the SP didn’t include ATN, just saying you aren’t entitled to receive “what you paid for” when you never paid for it.
> > > > > >
> > > > > > 2. It’s the publisher that makes these decisions, not the developer. 343 works on a contract basis with Microsoft. Meaning 343 gets paid a flat amount and Microsoft receives all of the money from the sales of Halo Wars, Blitz packs, and ATN. So really if you should be mad at anyone it should be Microsoft deciding these prices.

It hasn’t even been a full year since release. Don’t defend them haha! I paid for ALL the DLC with season pass, not just DLC they think should be included in it. Apparently Microsoft support agreed with me.

Most people bought the pass thinking they would get an expansion (im talking about pre orders, as the preorder description said expansion). If 343 simply said this, it would have avoided all this confusion.

Alright, dudette. I’m simply saying that there is a high likelihood of nothing being done. There’s no point in making the same argument anymore because 343 doesn’t care. There’s over a thousand posts on this thread, and they still went ahead with their original plan. I’ll be genuinly surprised if they do anything to fix this mess.
What’s everyone crying about?! I pre ordered the ultimate edition the first day it was available. I paid 79.99. My only disagreement was I wish they kept the beta open while we waited for launch day lol. I seen a lot of ppl post that they paid 100.00 for the ultimate edition am I missing something? So with that being said you really paid 79.99 now pay 19.99 for ATN and There your 100.00 value.
100.00 value =
Halo wars DE
halo wars 2 campaign
spearbreaker campaign
After the nightmare campaign
ALL LEADERS
2 new maps
In my eyes that’s well worth 100.00 and if your really upset over twenty bucks then your either not a huge HALO fan or RTS for that matter. I paid 100.00 just for a starcraft 2 beta key few years ago. HAHA! When you have love for a game or genre then money can never come between it!! LOL

My only disagreement was I wish they kept the beta open while we waited for launch day lol. I seen a lot of ppl post that they paid 100.00 for the ultimate edition am I missing something? So with that being said you really paid 79.99 now pay 19.99 for ATN and There your 100.00 value.

As long as the description to the Ultimate Edition is still for all (!) content here in Germany and the prices are a bit higher (see my post), critics to this policy is legitimate. Further is “being a huge Halo-fan” not an argument for a price-game balance.
If you never ask if the price is justified, because its “Halo”, then its up to you as long you are able to throw your money away. But in this case critics towards the developers or publishers is well in order.

Not, quite right: it said: "Leaders, Units, Cards and Campaign-Missions and updates for more (!) than six months. Just look on the german amazone page for the season pass or the Ultimate Edition.

Again, that does not say all content. I assume I shouldn’t even argue with you because you are one of those people that interprets things the way they want to see them.
Also, “german amazon page” is not something I would use as the “bible” for truth in the actual description of the product. Maybe German Microsoft/Xbox website… However, my suspicions are that it says the same thing as the English version of the website. Which means, it never said “all content”.

Well first, it is not on how I would like to see things, its more on how these thing are advertised, especially when it comes down on things like a season pass.
Second and this is the most delicate and arguable point here: it’s not a matter of “truth”, since the advertisement or the description of a product is essential for stimulating the customers interest. If this version does not include all content as it is natural in a season pass and as a result of the description, then there have to be a small info, that further purchase is possible in the future. Of course potential customers, wouldn’t buy this product. So if Microsoft advertises a product with certain extras, but then demands further purchase for additional content, doesn’t sound right to me. So there is not the “all content in clear written form” question, its more the classical meaning of a season pass and its advertisement/description. This maybe sound trivial or complaining to you, but for me its a question on how a product was and still is described and advertised for good amount of money.

Erm… to interpret something is literally to explain the meaning of (information, words, or actions). So of course everyone interprets it his way.
I also feel kinda ripped off by 343i for doing this. Yes, I understand the argument that we got all the leaders, there is nothing to say against that. But that is alot of value for people that play either ONLINE or like Skirmishes. I play Halo Wars 2 mostly for the Story/Campaign, so all those leaders have exactly 0 bucks value for me. So far, for that season pass, I exactly got some minor missions… that’s it.
I’m not happy about this, but after Halo 5, I don’t know what else I was expecting. I guess this is a trend that the whole industry goes by now.

My response was only to refute the fact that it did not say “all content”… The rest of what you said is a matter of perception/opinion on how you view it. Not disputing that, because I see it the other way around.

Maybe I should have said “misinterpret” then… The point was that he/she derived “all content” from a quote that did not say “all content”.
Also, the quote “So of course everyone interprets it his way”, is exactly why you don’t get what I’m saying either. For the simple fact that you are arguing with someone that does not agree with him, yet you say everyone see it his way…

By “his way” I ment, “your own way” aka “Everyone reads it in his own unique way”. If you give a somewhat loose sentence to a bunch of people, you will get a bunch of different ways the people understood it. That’s why I don’t say “THATS SCAM WHAT THEY DID” or any other witch hunting towards 343i. I said I personally feel ripped off because I didn’t get as much content out of it as I have hoped for. Doesn’t mean they are doing -Yoink- practice. If you play Online or even Offline Skirmishes etc, you got a ton of value out of it! Just people like me who play Singleplayer got what I would rate a equivelent of 5$ out of the Season pass, why is nearly nothing. I’d have hoped for ATN being a bit cheaper for early adopter or so, like a 25% discount for exactly that reason, but it is how it is and once I get some money together, I’ll probably will go ahead and but ATN anyway.

Yes and yes.
No, or it didn’t I use to play the game when I had it. That is why I went to download the ATN DLC on the very day it launched, and how I noticed it wasn’t included in the Season Pass.
My first posts were to let other who felt the same that they could get a refund. Then I was trying to help people who didn’t understand, understand why people were upset. Then I was just responding to people responding to me.
There was some conjecture in there granted, but it wasn’t opinion that it said ‘expansion’ and was changed to ‘missions’ after I bought it. That is a fact and the central point to my dissatisfaction.
As I said, I pre-ordered out of support. I was trying to keep these games being made too. Only, my support has a limit. I’m not a doormat.
Will do.
That’s a huge assumption you’re making there. I’ve not made one post about this issue outside this thread, and you have no idea of my age.
