Why can’t this thread just die already? Pay the $20 for it or don’t, quit complaining your being ripped off when you’re not.

Honestly the DLC doesn’t have enough content to justify a 20 dollar price tag. Would it be free if it didn’t include blur cutscenes? Since they are super expensive to do? Goes back to my earlier post about artificially inflating price tags by poor management choices.

> > So, I feel like i’ve been ripped off. Halo wars 2 the complete collection or whatever just came out and it turns out to be cheaper that the últimate edition, funny right? Because, the main difference between both versions is that in one you get more, for cheaper price. Well, I find it even offensive for us players who bought the ultimate edition and still, STILL, we have to buy the recent damm dlc for 20 bucks. And hell, can’t we get a discount or anything?. We spent around 60 to 70 dollars on the game and they still want 20 extra for a dlc that is already included in a reissue edition of the game that is clearly cheaper?, I do feel ripped off by this, the people who bought the ultimate edition are paying way more and getting far less. On top of that, they just removed the ultimate edition from the marketplace and replaced it with the complete collection, so we, as buyers of the ultimate edition should get the damm AWAKENING THE NIGHTMARE for free. Or at least a discount or a refund or something. This does makes me really unhappy, because i love the game, but this just looks like a robbery.
>
> You forgot one big difference, Ultimate Edition has been available for 7 months. Game prices naturally drop as time goes on. Prior to the release of ATN you could get through Ultimate Edition for 40 dollars, so the complete edition costs the same as the current price for the Ultimate Edition plus ATN.
Cool dude, just made me realize how now ultimate edition buyers now have a 100 dollar check when the ones who buy it now have a 40 dollars check. If that seems fair to you, suit yourself.

If you think is ok that the ones who bought the ultimate edition have to pay a total of 80 to 100USD while others just have to pay 40USD por all the content, then stop following the thread.
LOUD NOISES!!!
if you go to the movies, you are spending upwards of 15 dollars for 2ish hours of entertainment. If you play ATN for 4 hours, you have almost doubled your entertainment/time ratio. If you don’t think you can play it for 4 hours, don’t buy it. No one is forcing you to play this game.

That and it took an incompetent journalist from ign about an hour to beat the whole thing. That’s including cutscenes and loading screens.

I don’t believe it takes an hour unless your playing on easy. Par time for the first mission is 35min, on legendary that’s about where you should finish. In addition there is firefight more and the multiplayer with the new leaders. If you honestly don’t think you would have 4-5 hours of fun doing all of that then don’t buy it. But stop complaining here that you have been personally wronged.

I’m not. I said what I had to say like 20 pages ago, dude. I’m also not saying that the game shouldn’t double your enjoyment ratio. That’s what games do. Heck, I’ve put something like 9 days into Fallout 4 alone, and let’s not get started on Borderlands 2. That’s what games do. The point is not the price tag. The point is that the dlc isn’t in the ultimate edition of the game, but rather the complete edition. I wouldn’t be complaining, and probably quite a few others as well, if they had waited at least until January to release the complete edition. Right now, (unintentionally or not) they’re just slapping people who bought the Ultimate in the face.

A 20USD expansion shouldn’t last 4hr.

This is why destiny 2 is full price game and not a dlc

that’s at least if you only play the campaign. If you play multiplayer with the new leaders or firefight it is a lot more time.

Have you really had so little fun on the game in the last 6 months that it wasn’t worth buying at launch and playing during its life span. They game is cheaper because it is at the end of its life cycle. This happens with all games.

Fallout 4 has just released it’s GOTY edition. Does it really happens to all games? A 7 month lifespan?

He’s not saying all games have a 7 month lifespan, he is saying though that all games get cheaper over time. Fallout’s lifespan was obviously longer, but the same principle stands

I’m not sure I’m following the argument. Yes all games will lower their prices after they have been out for a while. Especially something with as nich as HW. You should have been able to guess that from the start. If you are so mad about paying full price for a game, don’t pre-order the ultimate edition and don’t play for the first 6 months. That is what you are paying for, the ability to play the game when it comes out. And yes, most multiplayers games have about a year long life span before people move on to different things. Its completely reasonable to expect a population drop for something as specialized as halo wars.
