ATN Not In Season Pass?

I have to agree i wont recommend this product to any of my friends because of this, i recommend many of you to do the same nor will i invest in any other product by this company or parent company or any subsidiaries or affiliates when you offer a season pass its for any content that comes out for this game its a way for people to save money not be slowly bled to death through their wallets this will remain in effect until 343 and the above decide that they have lost enough prestige of being a reliable company that’s honest and game worthy and reformat this for season pass holders its your money people let them know you wont give them your business… end of line

343i WHAT THE ACTUAL -Yoink-!!! I need to express my anger here, I foolishly paid $80 for the Ultimate Edition and I don’t get ATN DLC?

On the Xbox Marketplace, Halo Wars 2 COMPLETE EDITION aka The Actual Ultimate Edition is selling for $59.99+Tax INCLUDING the ATN DLC!!!

I already paid an additional $30 onto the launch game for the sake of “decent” DLC. What? Did those $30 go to support the DLC I’ll have to pay an extra $20 for?

On a side note, those who talk about their boycotts and protests, you all know the reality. If we can find some legal BS, we can take them to court. IF Microsoft finds 343i worth saving, I do not know.

Instead of playing a campaign that couldn’t satisfy me and wasting anymore of my money, (To those still reading my Rant) I’ll buy cool looking cards on Valkyrie Crusade, Buy Model Kits and build Gundams, Buy good food, and move on away from this. Wait, Creative Assembly made the game mechanics not 343i. 343i tried to make a story that is struggling to be milked.

Every time I log in I have to click through several screens of content I should own as a season pass holder, this DLC will be on sale soon just like the HW2 game went on sale right after release . Micro transactions and throwing it in my face every time I log in the whole game isn’t worth 20$ anymore with the amount of community left for multiplayer let alone a 20$ DLC. No one cares about this game except a handful of people, 343 is terrible

I’m currently trying to contact xbox support for a refund. I was lied to when they sold me the product, so I’m entitled to it. I can always buy the new edition when goes on sale.

I’d advise you all to try to do the same. MS and 343i need to know this isn’t acceptable behaviour.

UPDATE SPOILER I am not sorry Play 343i new game, Disappointment

If you want the Story to be in the format of Blur Cutscenes, ayeeeeee!!! You only get 3. That is all this “Expansion” will provide. You know where the rest of the story is in… The Debrief Dialogue Wall.

Hopped onto YouTube and saw it all. I put aside my disappointment for the game only for it to be this game’s new title. Disappointment’s DLC Expansion is mediocre at best, you’re just playing as Banished against the Flood. No UNSC appearance at all. Hey, firefight? It’s fun… for 10min until you Uninstall Disappointment and resell it.

lol i dont see the problem, we have had heaps of game dynamic changing content from day 1 with the season pass, at a pretty fair roll out rate. now were basically getting close to a full game for 30$ (au) bringing with it a fair amount of content, just bought it, looks sick already.

20$ lol i have to pay 25€. So almost 30$

3 blur cutscenes? Thats it? I would rather have double the amount in CGI…like HW1. Blur ones are too expensive and short, with little time to flesh out story and characters-they should stop with them.

On point of this thread, Ill add yet another point, the word “ultimate”.

Ultimate means the best of, or the most extreme version of something. The best, the highest, nothing better. That is ultimate. Clearly, the ultimate edition was not that at all as they have surpassed it with a “complete edition”. In other words, the “ultimate” is not the complete experience. Yet another marketing fail by 343. Should have just called it the “leader pass edition”. Seriously. Don’t call something ultimate if it is going be useless in a few months.

The ultimate edition was hardly useless, you got all of the previous DLC whenever it got released 7 months before anyone purchasing the complete edition.

I don’t understand why having the complete edition devalues the ultimate. Almost every game does this whenever they are done releasing content (granted, usually that’s later than 7 months). That aside, we got all the DLC at a discount, how does the complete edition devalue this?

Again, its in the definition ultimate. Dont call it ultimate if it is going to be bettered by something. Calling something “ultimate” only to have it replaced with a “complete” edition makes no sense at all.

Look at the definition (noun): *the best achievable or imaginable of its kind.*So again, they should not have called it ultimate. Should have just been “leader edition” thats it, simple. Then have the “complete” version, with ATN, be called ultimate. That’s all there is to it.

Also, no, no game ever does this. That is wrong. They discount their ultimate editions or rebrand them at a lower price, however they don’t release new complete editions with DLC that the ultimate does not have. E.g BF1 ultimate edition has the same content as the “revolution” one, however the revolution was sold at a later date for cheaper with the same content. Unlike HW2 with the new edition having new content the ultimate did not come with. Or in the case of Forza Horizon 3, the ultimate did not include the hot wheels expansion, however they do not have a complete edition with all dlc half a year after launch…Only exception to this imo is “game of the year” editions, which I think is fair. Other than that though it is stupid and should not happen. Further, just because “other games” do it…it does not mean it is ok. Countless people draw this annoying “other games” card when defending some dumb mistake 343 has made, it has to stop. Halo should be setting the bar again, not struggle to meet it.

That’s it with ATN? In the end, Halo Wars 2 feels like a big joke.

I’m more annoyed with how they handled the Season Pass. I would have gladly paid an additional $10.00 - $15.00USD for the Season Pass before and during the launch of the game (less than the current $20USD price tag as an incentive for early adopters) if this new ATN DLC content would have been included in the Pass.

Mainly because:

  1. I felt the Ultimate Edition was under priced for everything you got (HW2, Remastered HW1, Season Pass, and early access) to begin with.
  2. They had a price drop/discount for Halo Wars 2 about two months after its release, if memory serves me right, which is insulting to early adopters and continues to be a trend with games recently.
  3. The constant glitches and being forced to redownload the entire game every time there was a new update issue so many people have had to deal with, and continue to encounter since launch, without any fix or even any care towards it from the devs (devs tossing around the blame, from what I can see).
  4. Halo Wars 2 felt like an uncompleted game to begin with. I expected more Blur cutscenes, and content from both the Banished and UNSC side of things, like the first game handled it. Instead, I got rushed and limited cutscenes, story in the form of text in the extras, and a campaign that felt like a glorified tutorial.

To top it all off (and this is a personal pet peeve), I never even got a Prophet leader for Multiplayer, as Regret was my favorite leader from the first game and since they added both Forge and Ripa (every leader from HW1 is included in HW2 except for Regret), why the hell not Regret? I mean hell they even added Johnson. All of them are dead so that isn’t a reason… no, instead we get two more Brute leaders… Yay… /sarcasm.

What a complete letdown this game has been, and aside from Mass Effect: Andromeda (and you see how that went down…), this was the game I was the most hyped for this year, after so many years of waiting for a squeal. What a disappointing and insulting year this has been.

I agree for the most part. The price drop along with not getting a damn STEAM CODE (play anywhere title my -Yoink-) for the first Halo Wars was a kick in the balls for fans. feelsbadman

What a massive let down lol I got the ultimate edition for my birthday thinking I’d be covered. So much for that I guess. Why even call it the ultimate edition? Why call it a season pass? Should’ve called it the hero/leader pack or something cause that’s really all we got from it… To think I almost convinced one of my friends to get this…

UE $80 + $20ATN = $100
UE + ATN $100 - CE $60 = $40 refund players should be given.

I personally really only like playing the campaign so I would have been fine waiting if I knew the UE wasn’t going to contain all the DLC. I searched on my xbox and couldn’t even find the UE anymore, all you see is the CE for $60 and the regular game for $40(overpriced considering it doesn’t included the season pass$30/ATN$20). What is the value of the UE? A lot less then people paid for it. That’s why people are upset and feel like the CE devalued the UE.

Consider this, if you bought the game day 1 with the season pass/AtN then your paying 60$ more then someone Who bought the Halo Wars 2:Complete Edition.

You can’t justify BS like this especially when the game hasn’t even been out for a year. This is a big FU to all early adopters.

You can see the FU after reading this and then being asked to pay $20 more for what’s essentially promised in the season pass. ATN is new leaders & new exclusive missions.
They should have clearly stated from the beginning what specific content was included in the season pass.

"
__The War Continues with the Halo Wars 2 Season Pass__The Halo Wars 2 Season Pass delivers regular content updates that span more than six months, including: new leaders with abilities that change the course of multiplayer battles, new units that add to your multiplayer arsenal, and a new campaign expansion featuring exclusive missions.
