That usually means something done by one party without the other party’s consent or knowledge of the thing.

I’m not bothering to argue with him cause he is just odd but in a bad way
Base video games have stayed at 60$ since if first bought my Xbox 360 8-9 years ago. Games have only gotten harder and more expensive to make yet the price of a new game hasn’t even changed for inflation. To account for how much work they have to put into, they put in micro-transactions and DLC with added content with the idea that “if someone likes this game, maybe they will spend more money if we develop more of it”. If that offends you then don’t buy it. I guess I’m weird in that I don’t mind supporting the developers on something that I really enjoy if they are offering more content but if your still on halo waypoint, 5+ months after the games release, clearly they did a few things right. The way I rationalize it to myself is “If I play a game for more hours then dollars I spent on it, it was worth it” I know I have spent well over 80 hours on this game and I will definitely spend more than 20 after the expansion. I am going to buy the expansion, enjoy it, and not have any second thoughts about it.

I’m if this was a reply to me but my issue is not the price
No one at 343 EVER said you’d be obtaining specific upcoming DLC Content. You got a set of DLC Missions, which is Spearbreaker. Never did anyone specify what one you’d get, as ATN may not even have been in production back then.
And if you need me to reiterate myself that much, I’ll say it again. You’re not being made to pay for it. You paid for a season pass with new leaders and DLC campaign content. You got new leaders and DLC Campaign content.

It wasn’t specifically aimed at anyone. I was just throwing it out there. But I don’t understand how there could be any objection other than the price.

I believe people’s main concern in the wording change and the lack of notification

In what way was it “worked out”? all 343I did was apologize for the amount of people freaking out and not the fact that they changed their end of the contract without telling people.

I just meant that they told us about it. I’m not disagreeing about the poor communication but I fell like enough time was passed for the outrage to subside.

Arnt you artificially increasing the outrage by asking questions and making this thread appear larger than it is also I stopped commenting back in June but was asked questions do I still feel what they did is wrong? Absolutly because it is about the principal of the deal if I make a deal with you (I had I had preordered the game before they changed their wording) and you change it you have broken our contract and that’s the issue
I joined in at page 42 so I don’t hold myself too responsible. You’re right, I just was genuinely curious why everyone was angry. Sorry it pissed you off. I disagree about the broken contract but that’s only my opinion, I understand both sides of that issue.

You talk about game dev prices keeping up with inflation, but we’ve had a miniscule inflationary rate ever since the crash in 2008. If anything game dev price remains the same and is even more profitable for 1st party games due to digital distribution. This also doesn’t change the argument that the game has microtransactions as well and a season pass that people paid for.

Also digital download both allow smaller amounts of the hard copy being produced and they can’t be resold
