ATN Not In Season Pass?

Tyranno this is where you are wrong. These forums are made for this community to voice our opinions and thoughts about the game. It’s here for our FEEDBACK. I know I’m not the most positive person here on the forums (more often negative than anything), but I do it for a reason. I complain on these forums to show that there is flaws and that I don’t always agree with what the company does with our beloved Halo. Otherwise the devs have no idea if something is wrong if everyone is all, “it’s perfect” or “wow this dlc was perfect, well done”, these things are nice but if that’s all they get, then they have nothing to change. Until they hear that (won’t ever happen from everyone) they will try their hardest to make the community happy.

That being said, I thought all day about making an appreciation post for Ske7ch and viper and the devs for all their hard work. Haven’t yet because I haven’t seen those patch notes yet!!!

Also, to keep on topic… I voiced my opinion earlier not agreeing with the expansion costing an additional $20 outside of the season pass. I also voiced my opinion on how I disliked that the devs changed the season pass to not include the said expansion… I’m not happy. But I’ll still be forking over the $20…

Well. I mean. I feel like a FPS has much more work that needs to be done than a new character dlc in this RTS. They probably were also pretty clear on expectations for what dlc is coming and what’s not included. It’s like a whole new design in the maps and characters or whatever for BF vs like 2 new leader powers, a hero and two new units… But again. Not a developer. Just a fan. Lol

Why you pay a 50$ dlc?

The season pass that actually includes everything and is clearly outlined.

Yeah, not sure if this is a good or bad thing. BF gave you TONS of free things AND all new maps with their season pass (premium). They never once changed the wording for more cash.

Yeah… If your company finds itself pulling even shadier moves than EA, essentially making EA look amazing by comparison, you have really made some seriously messed up business decisions. 343 Industries currently finds itself in this position and it would be almost funny if it weren’t for the fact that this is the company in charge of Halo now (RIP good Halo games).

preaches about shadiness, goes to McDonald’s

I’m actually legitimately curious was this comment directed at me? Regardless, I’m also curious about what shady stuff McDonald’s does (I actually want to know, those stories are usually entertaining) but you can send that in a PM as it doesn’t have much relevance here. As for my eating habits, I can’t remember the last time I went to McDonald’s or fast food in general. I’m at University now and actually cook most things myself, it’s fun trying new recipes.

Again that was off topic, back on topic though I don’t find issue with pointing out a company’s unethical or bad business practices and 343 Industries are not exempt from this especially now days when, should they decide to read these forums, we can tell them exactly how we think or feel regarding their decisions. This forum is essentially a place they can gather massive amounts of valuable data to help guide their future business decisions. A lot of companies still have to rely on little incentives on a receipt in order to entice customers to give them feedback. 343 Industries gets all the feedback they could ever want from these forums.

Whether 343 Industries decides to use this feedback however… It’s entirely up to them.

Isn’t official forums a way to let their stake holders be heard? Surely this thread has been noticed by now. 343 is now more shady than ONI. Black box would do this… He is in charge isnt he… :scream:

Just because they haven’t replied on the thread doesn’t mean they’re ignoring it. We’ll see what the future holds.

Sadly this is pretty true. My experience on several gaming forums have shown that devs rarely, if ever, post on the forums aside from CDPR.

I also really want to hear more about Spearbreaker. All we know is that it’s two missions, in the season pass, and (judging from the name) from the UNSC prospective. We know more about this expansion than something announced and teased to be coming for season pass holders months again.

Sorry but because 343i wants to inflate the price of the dlc because of super expensive cutscenes is a poor excuse. This might be the first season pass that doesn’t include expansions for a full year in the universe of season passes. Its whatever. I don’t know why I’m complaining, I’m not buying it anyway.

How is releasing even more DLC not in the season pass inflating the price? That makes no sense. It’s more than just the Blur cutscenes and no it’s not a poor excuse. They are expensive to produce.

> This might be the first season pass that doesn’t include expansions for a full year in the universe of season passes. Its whatever. I don’t know why I’m complaining, I’m not buying it anyway.

You clearly don’t pay attention to anything then because plenty of season passes have left out DLC. Borderlands 2 is a prime example, leaving out three DLC that released inbetween DLCs that were covered by the season pass. Two of these were new characters, another was a level cap increase. And even after all of that, none of the five Headhunter DLC packs were covered by the season pass either.

Season passes don’t have to cover all DLC a company releases. They make it very clear what kind of content they will cover. Halo 4’s for example said specifically that it’d cover three DLC packs and it did. Then Champion’s Bundle released and it wasn’t covered by the pass.

And they also don’t cover a full year’s worth of content unless they specifically say they will. Most games have their final DLC a few months before a full year anyway. Halo Wars 2’s said it’d have more than six months of updates. That doesn’t mean a full year, that means it’s going to have DLC at least six months after release. Guess what? The season pass’s final DLC is in August, six months after Halo Wars 2 released.

Seriously we have to pay more on top of the season pass? I feel robbed!

To be fair, the head hunters were little more then two missions each. If they included absolutely everything they released in Borderlands 2, the season pass would have to be exhorbitantly high, and who would pay whatever that price was not knowing what would be released beforehand?

What am I saying? Everyone would pay whatever price for more Borderlands content, I know I would. Within the realm of reason, of course.

You shouldn’t be doing that regardless of price yet here we all are buying season passes.
