Because other RTS expansions feature significantly more content…

I wouldn’t say significantly. StarCraft expansions have a campaign (check) some new units (check). Only real difference is StarCraft/other RTS games take a lot longer to pump out their expansions.

actually its on 343 for changing the description after the fact, not telling people and not making it clear ahead of time

I wouldn’t have gotten the ultimate edition then, would’ve been cheaper to just buy the DLC when it dropped.

And sometimes entirely new factions. Also, I know you didn’t say it but a quick search shows that the Starcraft expansions are $20 so he’s entirely wrong.

I wouldn’t have bought the game. I’d have just bought Halo Wars DE.
I think we got our money’s worth on this one and I have no complaints about the issue in question!
I am more concerned about them making sure that we don’t get any more server problems with dropped matches, etc. I am glad to see continuous work on HW’s 2 with more new leaders, maps, etc. Keep the game working like it should work and I am happy!
you just lost my trust 343. plan ahead next time or dont release a seasons pass. there is a middle ground to be found between releasing day 1 dlc and not leaving room for adjustments down the road for incomplete ideas. i wont be purchasing it the same reason i didnt purchase mortal kombats season pass 2 or the morrowind expansion for eso. or any of the DLC for destiny.
im not hating on 343. I’m providing constructive criticism. there’s a very thin line between being flexible and indifferent.

Yes but at the time no one knew a major campaign expansion would be sold seperately…that’s the problem. We didn’t have the information to make that decision you recommend.
I’m sure this will be lost in the sea of replies… But I too feel the need to vent about how the game has been panning out since launch. Not saying the game is bad by any means, I seriously love this game so much, but I’m very saddened by how the devs have gone about things. The Ultimate Edition/ Season Pass for this game is utterly a cash grab at this point IMO. If I would’ve known that I could have just bought the very few dlcs I actually like (no banished) and saved to cherry pick what looks decent to me I’d be better off. Let’s be real, leaders a cool, but there’s nothing like playing the same 6-8 maps over and over again… It’s been how many months and there’s no new maps (or planned)? Let’s gets some new maps please… I’m sorry but so much for dlc, might as well have called it a Leader Pass.
On top of that the broken promises about the original release dates for said dlc leaders being later than originally planned. Another minor let down. Not one that bugs me terribly bad, but still adds to the disappointment.
And another bad move mainly on my part was to spend $20 on blitz packs… I would’ve known about how pointless blitz is I’d probably be $20 richer… Could’ve invested in oh, maybe in an unexpected upcoming “expansion”. But again, this one is mostly on me. Not the company pushing for more money for something that is more or so unimportant to most HW2 players.
And finally, the replay-ability isn’t nearly what it should be. Once I reached max rank just a few weeks after launch, I lost almost all incentive to come back. No prestige, higher rank, or even incentives for doing well in ranked seasons… Why bother? I usually just play skirmishes these days waiting til the end of the month for the new leaders [Thank you… For that… Season pass (I guess)] as it’s the only reason I come back
Sorry for the long read. I’m not mad, just thoroughly disappointed. There’s so much potential for this game, but not for the price they wish… IMO

> Sorry for the long read. I’m not mad, just thoroughly disappointed. There’s so much potential for this game, but not for the price they wish… IMO
We are getting two new maps for free. Free for virtually everyone, that is. Regardless of whether or not you own the season pass.

I don’t know when the maps are coming out. I mean sure you could take the “just two” outlook but they ARE free for everyone so we don’t have to worry about split populations.
No one can really decide for you if the season pass was worth it. It was more than worth it for me, though. It was only 20 bucks more and by the time it’s all said and done the value of the leaders and mini-campaign would be over $40.00. So in terms of raw value it exceeded its mark.
you got how many free maps and new content with halo 5 [excuse being used that microtransactions allowed it] yet halo wars 2 having micro still didnt have free dlc for the most part [leaders would be similair to the req aditions added to halo 5]
I mean the value is great. That much stuff for $20 isn’t bad at all. But the quality of it to me isn’t really much more than that… The whole point of a ultimate edition should inculde all the upcoming dlc. It’s not really that ultimate if you ask me haha. It’s all extra cash to the gaming companies. Good on them trying to make more money. But twisting words to make a game look better than it really is, is wrong.
