ATN Not In Season Pass?

> 343 didn’t mislead you. Omg you people whine if you have to pay a penny for anything. It was for the first 6 months of DLC which this is farther up than that. They aren’t scheming to steal your lunch money pal, you people got more than your money’s worth on DLC for your 20$ and you complain because you didn’t get basically an entire new campaign for free. If you trust them so little then you shouldn’t have bought the DLC and should’ve waited and only got the DLC you wanted. People saying “no they change the description of the season pass so they could steal from us” yeah okay I’m sure they did something illegal to get your 20$. Some of the halo community has to be one of the most unappreciative community’s out there. Even if it was all true and they “stole” from you then the best way to get back at them and make a statement is to not pay for the DLC and make them lose their money making it. Sitting their saying it was all some big plot to get your 20$ is as bad as the people who blame the government every time something bad happens to them. This conspiracy stuff around 343i is ridiculous.

Not as ridiculous as calling it a SEASON PASS, and not giving us all DLC for free…

If a leader is only 10 MB to download… That means it was already built into the game at launch. These leaders were part of the original game, but have been cut back. Now they just give you what you already bought lmfao. It’s quite smart on the business end if the consumers don’t understand. Now when they want to release the leader, you literally download the key that unlocks the leader in the game, while they update the game itself through testing to make sure it doesn’t break. It’s quite a funny tactic, but has been used in the industry for years. You can tell their main focus has been on Flood since launch. That’s probably the only true dev work they’ve been doing lol. If they don’t make the Flood a playable faction, I will not be buying as I’ve already purchased the Delux Edition which is basically a vanilla version that had all the leaders cut out of it to make it seem like a bargin. I SEE YOU 343I. It’s such a shame that 343 is playing off of the demand for the Flood which they knew people have been hoping for and waiting for especially since the Original. Such a shady, shady, shady move. A slap in the face for everyone who has supported Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2. GG. I will not be buying anything from 343I anymore. The NEW EA.

there after screwing themselfs over this time

the halo wars 2 forums have blown up ATN not being in the season pass so id just like to say some things:

343 I get you wanted to show ATN at E3 for the wow factor like it’s the flood get hyped but announcing a whole new expansion about in the middle of halo wars 2 DLC cycle and then come out and say “Hey here’s the flood yeah no season pass wont include this sorry but there’s still stuff coming!” Was kinda of a bad move

I think there would be less “backlash” If you already revealed the rest of the leaders and the 2 missions and then reveal it would of been a better move imo

So here’s what I think 343 should do to at least compromise for us would be to to give season pass owners a discount on the expansion like maybe drops the price to €15 would be really nice.

Do this happening honestly I don’t but it would be a good compromise tho.

And yes I read about the expansion getting removed or words twisted in another way but come on lets say someone takes 343 to court or something it would be a waste of time just over a season pass.

Will I buy ATN probably because I’m a huge fan of the flood and more content for a game I really like is a good thing for me and other fans.

If you still hate it not being in the season pass that’s fine or if you are hyped that’s fine too!

I’m planning on purchasing the ATN expansion, but as someone who bought the ultimate edition of HW2, I do feel swindled. If they had given me the promised campaign expansion (my primary reason for buying the ultimate edition that includes the season pass) before announcing the ATN expansion I probably wouldn’t be as upset. But changing the description of the pass like they did and then announcing this so soon, before giving season pass owners their promised campaign expansion, was a cheap move, possibly even shady, and I completely understand why some people will not support 343 after this. I’m tempted to say the same, but I still enjoy Halo too much not to support 343. But in the future I will be warier of any season passes 343 has before deciding to purchase them.

Whoa dude…every developer does this. You forget they are real people who have to make money. Bungie did this and DOES this still. I am totally fine with a $20 expansion. That is really cheap compared to other RTS expansions.

We’re still getting some campaign missions. I think the sales of HW2 were too low so they’re now charging for it to not go too negative.

It doesn’t bother me too much but I do think it probably should’ve been included in the expansion pass that we all payed for back at launch.

we get 2 missions

wow such an amazing campaign

All these counter arguments saying “Oh, well they said Season Pass only gives free content until June so there’s no reason to be angry about it costing money.” Halo 5 also said “free content until June”. How would you feel if we had to pay for Anvil’s Legacy? It is greedy and unacceptable that we have to pay for Awakening the Nightmare. I’ll be skipping this DLC pack.

Note: “some campaign missions” I didn’t say it was a full campaign. ATN is not the season pass missions.

Halo 5 sold more units than Halo Wars 2. They’re trying not to go negative…which they probably already have.

When I purchased it was listed as an expansion, you sure it was months before February? Because I bought the season pass in late-Jan., early-feb.

Would that matter regardless when passes were already sold and the purchasers were not notified? Not really.

-Actually, they did. They had a description which detailed the content of their pass. After people purchased said pass, they changed the description.
-Not even going to bother.
-Except that’s not what the description detailed, as it stated more than six months. It also explicitly stated what was in the pass, yet they changed it after people had already purchased it.

If you’re going to bother responding to people, then I highly suggest you change the way you do so, otherwise there really isn’t a point since 1.) People aren’t going to take you seriously, 2.) You’re going to go ignored, 3.) It’s a violation of forum rules.

Why?? When you pay $60 for a full campaign. That’s a deal for $20 and more gamemodes, maps, and leaders.

Yes precisely.

If they were making 2 expansions, one for the season pass ( as original advertised) then one for seperate purchase say, 12 months after launch. That would have been perfectly fine. What also wouLe have helped this situation is 343 making it clear there was going to be a MAJOR expansion not in the season pass. Any game with a season pass MUST make this clear. Every other developer can manage this, even EA. On top of this, 343 didn’t even tell us they changed the season pass content pre launch. So that those who preordered it only for the campaign ( like you) end up paying for it without knowing they changed it.

If they announced said changes, many who preordered would have cancelled because the product is no longer what was originally advertised, thus avoiding this problem. But they didn’t, because they want as many $$$ as possible.

because the ultimate edition/season pass description had it in it

i dont care about mp game modes [firefight seems to be mp only] and care very little about new leaders

i got the ultimate edition just for the campaign
